I tried 3 times the food and it’s extremely bad. The last one was the fish and it cames with bones + the baby potatoes were burn. I got my $32.00 refund.

Went to Captain Stirling for dinner and drinks with uni mates, grabbed a vehicle burger and chips. Drinks were cheaper than the tav/varsity, food was good, service was quick. Good choice for UWA students.

Excellent hidden gem. Grab a beer and watch the Glory, or enjoy a superb meal. The rooms are only average for an overnight stay unfortunately. Great staff!

The Cap S is one of the few remaining traditional pubs in the western suburbs. You can watch footy in the back bar and the main bar, which is bright and airy, is mainly for dining. I like the sunny terrace the most. And the food menu is a nice mix of pub grub and fancier stuff. Hopefully this great old pub continues operating for many years to come.

It's been a long time since this venue was a university institution. Drinks are overpriced and overwatered, the overall atmosphere is unpleasant. There aren't enough customers that come here to make up for the short comings. The staff act like there's a thousand people inside. In reality you're better off drinking at your house or any other restaurant nearby.

Great beer. Rooms are most basic. Few with their own bathroom. Good food . Nearby convenience store and pharmacy. Friendly service. Good foŕ backpackers. Not a luxurious place. Yet friendly staff.

Went there for steak night and they ran out of steaks. The music was playing so loud through the outside PA that the music was actually completely distorted. Really horrible experience.and 6 dollars for a fountain soda is a complete rip.

Went for lunch and it was terrible. Looking at the surrounding suburbs I'm surprised anyone was there at all. There were a few people but it was mostly it was empty. The table next to ours was uncleared and was left with dirty plates and cups. The menu when I open it smelled of stale beer, it was sticky and liquid came out of it when I opened it. Our table looked clean but was sticky. My meal was the prawn and crab linguine. There was no sauce on the pasta at all, so it was dry and for the life of me I can't explain the charcoal burt taste. The replacement meal was the Thai beef salad. Some of the beef was chewy other bits ok. The sauce was so overpowering and had a powdery or floury texture. Not nice. In addition I was not offered a refund or the cost difference between one meal and the other. The one I paid for (linguine ) was more expensive than the replacement. Don't bother eating here, go elsewhere. However the wine poured out of the bottle was great. Maybe they should stick to serving drinks and give up the food.
