  I've been in this Hell for two weeks now,having my check out tomorrow morning and I gave the second star to this hostel for compassion.
  
  So,this hostel is absolutely illegal by any hygiene and health evaluation system;
  The rooms are quite ok,6 to 12 bed dorm smelly rooms,and I found a small death companion(a rat),next to my bed in a rat trap on the 11th night here,but the receptionist was helpful on that,demonstrating availability on removing the trap straight away.
  
  Amenities:
  One of the most awful things in this hostel are the amenities(toilet,shower,etc.),and I'm not usually so sketchy about this,but You'll probably lose Your will of having a proper shower in there.
  
  Kitchen and common area:
  The kitchen looks fine at the beginning,except for a few scarfaces in the nighttime,but nearly anybody wash their things,especially after 8 pm;
  There's no natural light in the kitchen,and there are some stairs going down in a basement,that should supposed to be the common area,but I've just been there for not more than 5 minutes,because of the smell,and the bad enviroment.
  
  Location:the location is one of the best in Melbourne(205 King St),but this couldn't compensate the other lacking unfortunately.
  
  I would not suggest this place to someone,even if the price is really competitive.
  
  The day of the check in,a cute receptionist jumped in my room after 20 minutes to have a look,and came out with a phrase like:"why I could smell weed in this room?",I found it also anti-professional,cuz my herb was probably the best perfume in this Fu**ing hell.

  Coacroaches running around, dirty, bathrooms looking like after war. Even price isn't compensating this quality

  Everyone is super nice, the price is good. Could do with some bathroom renovations with some more added.

  Horrible place, full of homeless people and bugs. Evrything, from the rooms to the kitchen to the bathrooms was dirty, infested with cockroaches. It drains you the will to live and drowns you in despair. I couldn't stand even 3 hours in that god-forgoten place. This place crushes hope. I truly don't understand how a place like this isn't shut down by authorities in a city like Melbourne.

  the pictures on its website is very deceiving.the bed linens stained and dirty.the kitchen utensils unwash .has tiny cockroaches crawling on benchtops..fridge stinks and so as toilets and rooms stinks like hell I stayed for 2 nights and got out fast...its undated....out of touch would not recommend it all

  WORST HOSTEL I'VE EVER BEEN AND I COULD LIVE LIKE A RAT. One Star is too much for this Hostel. Each Prison is cleaner and more comfortable. Price is too high for that what you get. 20 rooms with average 5 beds in it and only 4 Showers/baths for approximately 100 People. 1.Light wasn't working in the room 2. There is a big hole in the kitchen so that you could fall down into the basement. ISN'T SAFETY!

  Central location. Very dirty - which gives it a certain charme, I can really feel at home and don't have to worry about being clean myself :)
  Only 3 star because being loud during the night is problematic since some dorms are directly next to the social rooms. I had luck with my dorm, but still.

  BE AWARE OF THIS PLACE!!! I travel a lot and I understand that for the price I pay I cant expect much but the standard of this place is lower than a public toilet!!! When I asked for a refund because I didn't wanted to stay there as the place is too dirty (They have given me a bed with big stain mixed with blood in urine on it... but it's not only about the bed as they changed it for me.... all this place is so so dirty) staff just told me that its impossible because of their strict refund policy!!! THIS PLACE SHOUL BE SHUT DOWN!!!

  Not the best I've stayed at but it does have a family vibe which you can find in the kitchen and TV room. Not many rooms, bathrooms are shared and look like they need an update. Conveniently located around the strip clubs if that's your thing. Bus stop and convenience stores are close by which was great. Alright for a night or two.
