The koalas are the cutest thing ever. It costs $20 to have a picture taken next to a koala and to touch it but you do get a print. It's worth it if you fly all the way here to see and touch one. Don't buy the kangaroo food since there're way too many people feeding them. They are not even hungry. You'll see that people just left the kangaroo feed by the exit.

They say koalas, but the best part for me was the kangas and Joeys. My life is complete. I got Joey kisses and snuggles. Approach them with respect like you would a dog you don't know, and once you feel comfortable and they do too, give them a good scratch. The albinos love a good chest scratch. If I wasn't on a tour group I'd probably stay here until they hired me or kick me out.

Good park for younger children or visitors. It's size means you can see everything without the little ones cracking it. Has a good inside playground. You can make a day of it if you play pirate mini golf as well.

I surprised my boyfriend with mini-golf at Maru Koala and Animal Park. Don't be put off by the bus-loads of tourists being dropped off. None of them really play the 18 hole, pirate and Australiana themed mini-golf course in the front. This was my second time around, I was here maybe 3 years ago. The facilities need a fresh lick of paint to make it pop. The course is highly enjoyable and varied to keep you interested. Highly recommendedvery sad to see that the shark has fallen off his spot.

The five stars is because you can hold a Joey here for relatively cheap and it was awesome. Other stuff is cool like watching a sheep be sheared and feeding the kangaroos. Small place. Half day at most. Food at Cafe was also good.

The closest you get to kangaroos! You were able to feed, pet and hang out with them. The guides were very knowledgable and such a blast! It's smaller than other wildlife parks I've been but for the kangaroo, would recommend.

Renovations have brought this place up to a new level. Great to see it freshened up. I stop here for a coffee on occasions only if the carpark is quiet ( sometimes there a several tourist buses) as it is a relaxing venue to be in when there are only a few people there. Plus the access is level and roomy for my 90 year old dad. Staff are very friendly. Service speed is not fast but that's good for relaxing. Able to see kangaroos and Tasmanian Devil from the restaurant windows. I like the souvenir shop which has some well selected items.

Really great place to see and feed kangaroos. They just hop around and you can play with them. You will also see a ton of active Koalas, few Wombats, a Tasmanian Devil, Dingos, Wallabies, and sever other animals. For $20 is great and it's on the way from Melbourne to the Penguins Parade on Phillip Island. Definitely recommended!

Wow experience!! Really value for money!!
Tristen and Ruby, the 2 keepers who hosted the wildlife show at 1:00 PM on 15/04/2017 were marvellous! They both were objective and were engaging. Mark the shearer at 2:00 PM show was superb champ, both with his shearing skills and comprehensive explanation of the trade. Good, well managed animal park with ample on site parking (overflow parking space is nearby too).

Basic facility with no frills; regularly scheduled keeper talks with various animals; fully outdoor so be prepared if inclement weather; awesome chance to pet and feed kangaroos; picture taking with koala; also available: birds, lizards, Tasmanian devil, peacocks, wallabies

Worth watching!! I recommend all you should go there. It's our first time to be there, The service is definitely professional and friendly. Especially that guide girl in the picture, she is quite patient and enthusiastic in explanation. We also spent 30 to take the picture with koala Morgan. Unfortunately, we forget to take the photo back .

This place is very cute and kitschy. Played a round of their pirate themed mini golf to stretch our legs during a road trip -- affordable at $15 each. It's obviously catered towards children but we two adults had fun.

Spent a few hours at Maru Koala & Animal Park and Pirate Pete's 18 hole mini golf course on the way from Inverloch to Melbourne. The animal park is quite small but a decent range of native animals and visitors are able to get quite close to most - the kids seemed to enjoy it. The mini-golf course was pretty good, well themed and maintained. The first hole was pretty tricky for all 4 of us playing but things got a bit easier after that albeit still challenging. For $80 (2 adults+2 kids) for unlimited time in both the animal park and golf course this is pretty good value in my opinion. Didn't do the animal experience (extra $20pp?) but worth a visit.
