Lovely walks and scenery. Excellent BBQ facilities.
Great place to have a picnic or go for a walk plenty of parking and some nice bush walks
I've loved this place since I was a kid. Great walking tracks, especially when you head up the hill into the National Park. And the trees are so tall, and there's the occasional one that's still amazing to climb - although I'm sure I'd have gone higher when I was younger.
A beautiful park in Healesville which is perfect for taking along your bbq and also taking a hike over the dam wall and surrounding track's. Great for feeding the native birds too.
The dam area is impressive ! From the winding stone paths and gardens. To the impressive walk across the Dam wall. The park offers a great destination for family's or couples as apart of a Yarra Valley day out. If your lucky the dam has an amazingly spectacular overflow waterfall but this is a rare site.
It might be getting a bit old but it's still a great place to stop and stretch on a long trip.
Interesting place. Unfortunately the map of the grounds was fenced off because of repairs but there is a sign post pointing in the general direction of things. There are (covered) picnic spots large enough to accomodate big families. And centrally located toilet facilities.
Fantastic gardens, walk passed the waterfall, across the bottom of the dam wall and up the stair case to the top of the wall. Good look out from the far side of wall. Great all times of the year.
So much potential, but Melbourne Parks & Waterways has completely run the gardens into the ground, with dead and dying plants (check out the Rose Stairs for shock value) and mosquito and litter infested ponds!
If the original garden designers could see what neglect has done to a once proud engineering achievement! A depressing sight!
A nice place for picnic with family. Have a walk to the dam. The view is amazing.
This location was next to my hotel.
I was quite surprised - it was not on my to do list, but I woke up earlier than expected and I decided to see the area before checking out.
Well worth it! It's pretty - I definitely wish I spent more time here.
Great park, with lots of history and wonderful natural environment. It would be good to see an upgrade in park facilities.
A hidden gem. A really great area to explore, plenty of walking tracks and you can explore over the dam wall to the spillway. There is also an abundance of places to picnic. Recent storm damage has hurt the area but now everything is open again you can see the extent and understand the work ahead.
