  I dropped into the surf school and was made to feel very welcome. I have only surfed once before a very long time ago but my instructor (Thomas) said he would get me standing on the board before the end of the lesson and he did. I was pretty pleased with myself as a new surfer aged 66. Thanks guys.

  Kids had fun, the instructors were patient and made sure kids had a chance to pop up and surf. I was on edge watching the kids in the water filled with blue bottles, most of them got stung. Not a bad location, but we had to walk a fair bit to the lesson area and at the end carry the surf boards back which was tiring but oh well

  Nice place to spend time learning to surf. The instructors were great, as was the experience!
  However, I would go with a smaller group if I were to do it again.

  Hit or miss. You'll be expected to decipher whether it's a good day to go out and learn or not. I left my lesson early due to extremely rough conditions in a sub-optimal portion of the beach and wasn't given so much as an apology for failing to warn me that the trip would be a waste of time. I don't care about the money, I care that experienced instructors give us the option to reschedule on days that are nearly impossible for beginners to learn on. This is my 7th and last visit to Manly Surf School.

  Disappointing group lesson. We could barely hear what the instructor was saying. Either go with a small group (4 or less) or take private lesson

  Fantastic! Ed and Graham our instructors were just great. My son and I were first timers and they were so patient and helpful despite some challenging surf conditions on the day. Great experience all round.

  This is a great place! The coaches are very nice. The price is pretty reasonable. The most important thing is that the wave in Manly is awesome.
