My wife and I both ordered and thoroughly enjoyed our choices from the lunch specials menu, which include a glass of house wine, for $25 each.
The food, service and location were all excellent. We are very pleased to recommend this restaurant, and would gladly return.response / report this review -

Was really looking forward to date night with my wife after reading all the reviews. As much as I hate to say it, it was quite a disappointment. The portions and the presentation were decent, but the flavour just wasn't there. We ordered the miso mackerel for the entree, as well as the lamb shank and seafood soup for the mains. The soup bases for the seafood were quite watery, which would still be ok if the flavour was there but the taste was just lacking.
Service was excellent, no questions there, but yeah for that kind of money you would expect more tasty food. You might be better off with the red meats. We might try it again in the future, but definitely not anytime soon.response / report this review -

Amazing food. Attentive and subtle service. Friendly staff. Excellent wine selection also. Quiet atmosphere. Finer dining but it's still casual with trying too hard. Apparently it's been around awhile.

No real service to speak of. Unattended for the most part until we would wave our hands about.
Also had sand and stones in a risotto I sent back, then waited 15 minutes for a new one, by which time the others had all finished eating. I then got a sloppy risotto.
They still had the cheek to charge for it after they served the first round full of sand!

Excellent entrées and main dishes in a pleasant decor.
If you're looking for a change from Asian food, and a fine lunch or dinner at Chatswood, Rocket is a very good choice.response / report this review
