Food was good, it is not cheap. Biggest issue was the service, mains came out, first tried to wait for rice but in the end asked for the rice to be put in takeaway container. Then entrees arrive, we did ask as each dish came out where the others were. Was told kitchen is busy, poor excuse for price you pay. Maybe just a bad night but prefer the other local Chinese

I've been here quite regularly in the last few years and never be disappointed. The dishes are delicious, well presented and cooked with good quality ingredients also. Their prices are a bit upmarket compared to most Chinese joints in Chinatown but they provide good services and nice ambience. All in all, it is a solid offering and I just don't understand why this place never got mentioned in the Sydney Good Food Guide or other award listings. This place is an exception to my 'ethnic food rule' i.e. only visit ethnic food place if there are many customers from that ethnicity come to the place. Though there are only minimum (less than 10%) Chinese customers at any time I visited the place, the food were always authentic and nice. I can't believe that my rule does not apply to this place but it is. I have to give honest assessment.

My favourite restaurant, easily the best sang choy bow in the world, the rest of the menu sings too. Go there try it, you'll be pleased you did.

Mathew is a legend and this place is like no other. Silver six star service with amazing food. Ask for the specials and you'll never look back. I first came here as a young kid and 35 years later its unchanged, confirming its perfection.
