Bring back Luna Dark weekend! Besides the wind and spots of rain it did not dampen our fun. We had such a great time over the three nights we attended Luna Dark, we got to dress up, go on some awesome rides, and interact with the roving performers along with other lunies, such a perfect way to spend Halloween.Thank you to all the staff at Luna Park for making this experience so amazing and for all if their hard work in making Luna Dark so fantastic. We can't wait to do it all over again next year.

Really needs an update. As If the owners don't have the money for it by now!
Free entry is good but hardly any kids rides the ride height restrictions are ridiculous most siblings can't ride to get ones too short and ones too tall. Adults ride free with little kids at least that's a plus.
But for the love of god Please buy another fairy floss machine!! The wait for that is ridiculous! It would cost like 100 bucks. Owners are too cheap to do anything to this place.response / report this review -

Entry is free, rides are not too expensive. It usually works out cheaper to buy an unlimited pass for $50. You can walk around and see what rides you want to go on before you buy a pass which is nice.

I wouldn't recommend travelling very far to get here. We live a 5 minute walk away and it took us around a month after moving in to even bother having a look as it always looked a bit drab.
We popped in and found that it's free to actually walk around which is brilliant, you just have to pay for the rides which was an extortionate $50 (if you round it up) which we paid around the same if not a bit less to get into the big theme parks on the Gold Coast.
The big main ride is out of action at the moment which no prior warning signs, one of the smaller rides is out of action and the big carousel ride in the middle is out of action.
There isn't many options for rides that suit adults and it's very kid based. Doesn't have many extra bits to keep kids entertained.
The pay as you play fair style games are an absolute rip off. I played hook a duck and only pulled out 2 number 1 ducks which got me a very small, cheap stuffed toy. Which cost me $5 to play. After watching several people before and after me play my partner got suspicious and picked up a load of the ducks, all of which were number 1's so there's basically no way to win a bigger price unless you pay to continuously play.
Overall it's NOT somewhere I would actually recommend and it certainly doesn't deserve all the hype it gets.response / report this review -

Wen there for a day out with the kids overall the price was $150 for the family and they had a good day out. Wasn't crowded and found parking nearby for the day at $12.60 ticketed. About 5 rides that the kids found challenging pirate ship, power surge and scissors was their favourite. Scenic Railway was under repair but the park provided passes to use at a later date so well looked after.
Overall a good day out with a reasonable price on coffee etc. Only go there on sunny days as there is no real shelters to hide from the wind and rain.response / report this review -

Interesting place to visit in Melbourne. The place has a vintage look that will remind you of old-school theme parks like New York City's Coney Island.

Fun for kids, There are few swings for grown ups Plan during last 4 hours of the park. First 3 hr you can enjoy all rides in a sequence and last 1 hr you can re ride the selected ones as the queue is also very small in the last hour

When I was there The Great Scenic Ride was not available due to the weather. But other than that. This is one of the best theme parks I've been too. The people over there were kind. The food was alright. It was worth it. Great prices and great everything!!!! Highly recommend!!! I'll be there again next year!!!

We took our 9 year old daughter for her birthday and spent the afternoon on the rides. What a great day! Queues were short, rides were fun and well-maintained and the service was satisfactory.
The park itself is great to look at (just look at that iconic front gate) - its permanence means that the wonderful buildings and decorations are a part of the experience (and something you wouldn't get with a travelling funfair).
The food was OK but the fact that you are only a few hundred metres from Acland St which is filled with wonderful Melbourne cafes and restaurants offsets this.
I love the fact that you can enter for free which enabled us to invite some friends and family who were not inclined to ride but could still soak up the atmosphere.
We had a great time and would love to go again!response / report this review
