The hotel is clean and basic. Very much older and utilitarian. The included breakfast is pre-packaged, but satisfactory. A lot of noise from adjoining units and the weather outside.
A nice spacious hotel with a place for everything including meetings, meals a nice relaxing cold one and more
My partner went to the excelsir the othe night for dinner as we walked.in we were met by the friendly we were show to our table the menu was expained to us great range to choose from. The food was very well presented great overall evening I would go back again .
Had lunch there with family Food was of good quality and meal portions were satisfactory Service was prompt and staff were very friendly
Great location, close to Melbourne and western ring. Great meals at a reasonable price. Comfortable rooms at a good price. Friendly service
I'm not usually a fan of these places, and this was no exception. Food was bad and the service was terrible. Very overpriced.
stayed here overnight. room was clean and breakfast box provided was free and superb. The room was quiet but ONLY supplied decaf coffee in room? Checked in by MICHELLE whom was so rude and abrupt. You houng lady need training in customer service. And you CON arguing with another staff member in front of everybody was appalling. Whomever the manager is of this facility I hope you read my review and others and act on customer comments to improve hour business.
Lunch with family Good menu selection Plus a variety of specials on the board.. quick & polite service Used the Clipp app Staff not very familiar with it, but sorted it quickly Great experience
Staff were not very accommodating or friendly to large groups of people, despite bookings. The woman who served us was quite rude, no smiles and you don't get that warm tone that you get from other restaurants. I wouldn't recommend this venue to anyone unless you're just dashing in for a quick meal.. actually no, several of our team waited quite awhile for their food. This bistro has no recommendation from me.
I thought for a change I'd go get a counter meal (dinner) at the Excelsior Hotel in Thomastown. I'd had good quality meals there in the past but tonight was different, a lot different! I decided on the $35 Scotch filet with vegies in Pepper sauce. For this I got 1 small potato, 3 small pieces of Broccoli, a small piece of pumpkin and a sliver of a yellow thing. The filet was OK in size but when I asked for it to be cooked medium I wasn't expecting it to still be bleeding! I was surprised that a $35 meal could be so crappy in portion size and quality. The sauce was OK and the service was great as always. Perhaps they have a new Chef? If so, that person is a dud and I'll give it a few more months before I waste money there again. Hopefully when I do their Chef has got it together or been replaced. Will update this post mid year to let you know how it went.
