My partner and I love Los amates! Every time we visited the food was mind blowing:) very authentic, it made us wonder can we cook this at home and the answer was NO WAY, it is not like your typical Mexican restaurant, you can really enjoy the flavours including the drinks, whether you're after a margarita or a non alcoholic drink they're amazing.
I only have good things to say about this place :) love it!!!!!

The prawns were sensational, and the food has a very authentic Mexican flavour, also the desert was amazing. Had a shot of tequila with dinner and it was delicious! Definitely recommend.

Absolutely fantastic, great service, awesome food. I was with a group of 21/22 people having the set menu - well priced, I was stuffed. I will definitely go again.

It's the closest I've come to being in Mexico since being in Mexico. Family run. Family recipes. Come for the molé, stay for the experience.

If you plan on going on a weekend, make sure you book ahead! This cheap, fresh and tasty joint is fantastic! Street parking available but may be tricky to get.

Amazing authentic Mexican food. Their corn was the best I've ever had! And their pulled pork was 10/10. Would definitely come back here when I'm in Melbourne again
