    5 star customer service
    5 star presentation
    4 star food

My brother had his wedding here on the weekend. They have excellent customer service, the set up of the restaurant is beautiful. Unfortunately a couple of dishes were not as nice as the others.

Got there at 6:35 PM and had to be at a show accross the road at 8. Were told we would easily fit 2 courses in by that time so we sat down. We ordered mains AND dessert at 6:45 and didnt get our drinks for 15 minutes and mains arrived at 7:25 the medium steak was below average considering the great reviews. Our table was left cluttered with wine glasses we didnt use and noone came to check on us or clear our table. We ended up paying and walking out before desert came. Only reason its a 3/5 is because the staff were very nice and took dessert off the bill.

    Overall wont be returning.

Steak night, steak was a good size but a bit chewy for medium rare. Only came with chips and a drink, they were really nice.

Extremely disappointing. Ordered lunch at 12:00 from the bar on Sunday (kids fish and chips and bowl of wedges). At 12:30 asked waiter to check with the kitchen as we had tockets to see Aladdin at 1:00 and had to be seated beforehand. Told next on list and be out in 3 minutes. At 12:45 went and asked for a refund. Was not the only customer that requested refund as well. POOR EXPERIENCE!

Very disappointing had a 5pm booking. We waited 15mins to be seated to be told we actually were not booked in. The lady than said don't worry we have tables still available. Working in customer service myself I would never stress the customer out when it's not needed. Personally I feel she should of just said come through if she had tables available. We were meant to be booked in for a three course dinner but because of time we had to do a two course. So my mum only just order an entree and I got a main and dessert. My main was very average is was smaller than my mums entree. The cheesecake for dessert was good. The toilets were terrible they was toilet paper on the ground and the toilets were so low. Which would be horrible for someone who has a hip replacement or someone who is elderly even my mum struggled. Overall the whole experience was disappointing.

horrible service, slow and the food was overcooked. Waited 30 mins for the main meal and 25 for the cheesecake.

Our booking wasn't registered in their system despite their webpage offering an instant booking. Fair enough, technology glitches and delays. Served at the table with bread roll but no butter. The butter knife still had water mark stains despite being polished? (Perhaps not?). Over priced fried calamari, the ones that are straight out of the package from Coles or Woolworths. Eye fillet steak was cooked to perfection - medium rare, but it was the toughest eye fillet I have ever had. Ever tried to chew on beef jerky at $39.00 a pop, you'd know exactly how I felt. The only thing worth remembering about the visit was the lovely usher/reception girl who had a great smile and a cheerful attitude. Probably not your first pick for a nice dinner night out.

Very nice atmosphere, and great customer service, especially from the manager. Only thing is that the steaks do not come with anything (mash/chips/vegies/salad etc) and therefore was a little plain. Overall a fantastic place for a great dinner/dessert service

We visited Locanda on invite from Rydges Melbourne as a pre-show dinner before heading off to Circus 1903.

This is a good italian restaurant on Melbourne's busy Exhibition Street, at the north of Chinatown.

We had a range of menu items to taste, including the beetroot cured Salmon with gold beetroot, fennel and burnt orange, and the Kingfish with tarragon infused kipler potatoes, sultana ragout and red wine jus.

They had a good selection of wines and my favourite dish was the eye fillet with cauliflower and roasted artichoke gratin, pistachio crumb, wilted spinach and peppercorn jus.
