Really great to deal with. Surprisingly their after sales is as good. Don't look past this shop for your cycling gear, accessories and amazing bikes :)
Visited during our holiday on Melbourne looking for a $50 dollar torque wrench i found online few days ago. Guy inside tells me it can be ordered online but says "I should only buy it if I want to wreck my carbon parts" and refers me to a premium $225 dollar torque wrench instead..
What kind of salesmanship is that?
Coming from a sales background, there is nothing wrong with a little bit of upselling. But this guy talked to me in a condescending manner like he's telling me I have ZERO idea of what Im doing. I've worked with carbon parts with torque wrenches cheaper than $20 before. Sometimes none at all, with ZERO issues on my bikes.
Clearly put off, I went to the website again. The torque wrenches under $100 have a disclaimer that says "DO NOT USE CHEAP PRODUCTS AS THEY WILL DAMAGE THE PARTS" what? Do you guys mind explaining this disclaimer because its very confusing.
If you don't believe in a product, why bother selling it???
Helpful and attentive, and honest about their products. Not at all pushy. Store layout neat and roomy.
Rude staff. As soon as I walked into the store both staff were too lazy to even bother welcoming me (I was the only customer in their) after browsing the store I then asked for help. I knew what I wanted and asked for the exact item. Then mr know it all told me I need something else and then started an argument. I then put it back on the rack and walked out
What can I say about there online store. Amazing! Ordered a few times now on ebay & website. Prices are competitive and if you live in Melbourne arrives within 48hrs! Their warehouse delivery setup is very very fast.
The store is impressive too but like most bike stores can't stock everything. In general I find stores in Melbourne you always get the one bloke that has an air of arrogance or underpinning disdain towards your average hobbyist cyclist and I always manage to get that guy.
Unfortunately, customer service of this caliber is rarely seen, and hence I wanted to give credit where it is so well deserved.
I'd never been to the shop before, but saw a bike that they'd advertised on Bike Exchange. I spoke to Anthony on the phone about it, asked some questions and decided it was worth the trip from Brunswick to check it out.
The bike was amazing in the flesh, but my first impressions were that the customer service was very impressive and unique. Anthony and James were very welcoming and were willing to answer any question I had, without a hint of pretension in their responses. It was obvious that they were truly passionate about cycling and believed in their product and their service.
The majority of the purchase was funded by a very generous customer of mine, who gave me a gift in the form of some spending money, so I wanted the whole experience of finding and buying a bike to be special, and something that I looked back on fondly.
I couldn't have been happier to pass on my money to Anthony and James and will pass on great reviews to anyone willing to listen.
Anthony and James, thank you so much to both of you for being the beginning of of many happy memories with my beautiful new BMC. I'm so grateful to both of you for everything you've done, and hope to see you again soon.
