Beautiful place large area plenty of room shady and quiet recommend

We have free camped with friends several times at Butts Reserve.
Nicely maintained plenty of sunshine/shade sites, FLUSH toilets, town water & easy stroll to the town of Maldon for coffee, papers, handy supermarket & great butcher so what's not to like?
The girls find there way to the local hairdresser which is a ' must do '
We are going back in a group again in August for 7-10 days and really looking forward to it.
There are a few 'long termers ' camping there which make you & your belongings feel very safe. We never hesitate to go prospecting & leave all our gear at the camp site as for sure one of the guys will be about the camp.
Great camp fires in the evening which you can choose to take your chair or not & enjoy reliving the day's events as told by all!

Beautiful mountain with views across Western Victoria. Great bushwalking with camping at the base and only a short drive into the township of Maldon.
