Although I dodnt stay here I was allowed to wash my clothes and shower here..twice. Very very friendly managers and knowledgable about the area

The owners especially the lady of the house was very rude to guests.
Cabin was shocking. Exhaust fans were disgusting and when we approached owner re tea and coffee we were told for 85.00 per night you won't get tea and coffee!! Bed uncomfortable would have been better on floor but carpet was filthy.
Would not recommend this place to anyone, human or otherwise.response / report this review -

It was the worst experience of my life, the owner Margaret, is rude and obnoxious .
Holidays are meant to be relaxing right, so I thought.. Margaret would yell at you and speak down to you like you were a child, she comes past on a regular basis in her hoon buggy, and tells people what to do and how loud to talk, she is the worst person I have ever come across.
She has appalling customer service and communication skills and should not be in business, I didn't realise I was staying in a retirement village.

Lake Colac caravan park is a real oasis, and a shelter from the storm - quite literally! After our tent was totally flooded by heavy wind and rain, the wonderful staff at the park insisted we spend the night in one of their spare caravans. So much gratitude to them! We enjoyed our stay so much we stayed an extra night. We received such a warm welcome and felt we were being taken care of the whole time. Their prices are extremely reasonable and the facilities, though basic, offer everyting you need and are really well kept.
Despite the beautiful lake and wildlife right on the doorstep, there isn't loads to do in Colac, but it offers a great base to explore nearby attractions like the Otways and the Great Ocean Road. Definitely worth a stay. Thanks :)response / report this review -

Surprisingly attractive part of Colac. Would spend my holiday here because why the hell would you go to Colac for an extended stay? But good for a night's stop. Roomy cabin. Could throw in some tea and coffee just sayin'. You can't swim in the lake it's full of crocodiles

Although a very pretty and peaceful place , prior to arriving,I called the manager to secure a booking. It was after business hours,but I was informed it was okay to check in,in another hour. We arrived less than that time,and were greeted very rudely for interrupting her dinner as she "wasn't going to wait any longer". A greeting is usually appreciated but obviously not in this persons case. Twice afterwards, we caught her patrolling us in the dark!!!
There is a foul smell of sewerage nearby. Mozzies are bad. Apart from lovely location,I would not recommend it. Toilets are disgusting.response / report this review
