Me and two of my friends stayed here for one night. We had to give a $20 deposit for the keys, which is expected. The following day the owner of this establishment said that I had told him me and my friends planned on staying another night, this never happened. As we were about to leave the owner refused us our deposit and simply left. The other workers commented on the lack of professionalism the owner exemplifies quite often, as they apologized they did not have to authority to refund us. One worker even offered us $20 from his own pocket for the behaviour of the owner. I would recommend finding another hostel to stay.

Basic hostel for a good price. Really good Wifi, breakfast included, pool and nice staff. 10$ per person to sleep in the van. 20 min walking to the city center or 5 min ride in the hostel's free shuttle bus every hour.

We traveled with my husband to siquijor in february 2016. we booked by phone in jj's backpackers but the ladie didn't understand the booking. When we arrived, they tried to rent a tent but we said at phone that we had our tent! They thinking only at the money! The price is never the same for everybody. They give the price when they see your face! It's unfair and disgusting! the atmosphe was very heavy and the owner and his family very rude and unpolite. At the end we didn't agree with the price ( they tried to rent things again), so we tried to get explaination but they wanted to cheated on us. The worse is they became insane and violent! The women pulled my hair and the owner wanted to fight us. They insulted us. They are crazy people so get away or run away!!

Wonderful place to stay. Lovely staff. One downfall is you're very close to an airport so you'll get a lot of engine noise from the planes since they fly directly over the hostel. But if that isn't a problem it's a perfect place!
