Average location near the esplanade but 10 minutes walking to the city center.
Nice modern room with flat tv.
The shower in the room is low and unadjustable which is very uncomfortable for average and tall people
Free WiFi but they have a data limit that runs out quickly which you have to recharge everytime at the reception
The pool is very small
Good value for money

This is my personal opinion. I didnt mind the room, it was clean and tidy, the A/C worked well, the bed was comfortable and the staff were friendly. Ive stayed in a lot worse elsewhere in Cairns for more money! It was a bit hit and miss trying to get a car park at times and although it had a big shower, the shower head wasnt adjustable, which made it hard to wash my hair at 6'2" tall. They offer a cheap breakfast (I think ot was $7.00?) but we ate elsewhere. Didnt use the pool facilities so cant comment. I guess I'd give it a 6.5/10.

Five minutes walk from the town centre, the Tropical Heritage is a pleasant hotel. The rooms are a good size with large bathroom and although not the most modern, they are comfortable and well equipped. Laundry facilities are available and a very small pool is located outside. The staff are friendly and the hotel is nice and quiet.

Nice, central place, but quiet enough, away from all the backpackers. Few minutes walking distance from the esplanade. Clean rooms, but dated, but maintained. Pool is more of a tub.

Great place to stay in budget and close to the esplanade. Walking distance from jetty to the great barrier reef escapades/tours. Receptionist very nice and helpful. Rooms decent with clean toilets.

Very friendly personnel, rooms are fine, with high ceiling, TV a bit small, lots of space, huge wardrobe.

Swimming pool is tiny, doubt anyone swim there.
