Very good store. Friendly staff. Whether tassie or the mainland the stores can be trusted to have a varied range of products and fair prices.
Have visited this place few times and staffs at check out are always friendly. Would have been 5 stars if aisles were more clear and not confusing.
Always love coming here. It's like a bunker for awesome music and they have a really good selection of instruments.
Very nice but it has a lingering stale smell. Hopefully not mould because that can occasionally lead to bad respiratory infections. Edit: I did not write this my friend did, can confirm there is no mould as the stale smell was a fart that he did in the CDs section, it was awful
A basement based store with a good range of products. Always a buzz in this store. Can get very busy at times with long checkout queues. Good range of CDs, DVDs, some vinal, technology such as computers and phones
Used to be great. Just wallked out after nearly an hour of no sales people acknowledging me and unable to find one as the item I wanted was locked up. Sadly many people were looking for help. I ended up leaving unable to spend $1500 with them. Very sad as I always went here due to them being better than other JB. I even made a comment to the man at the checkout. I asked if anyone could help me - he looked at me then started talking to the woman next to him about something unrelated. I repeated myself - he shrugged, I left.
Can't actually believe they first opened a store way back in 1977 at Keilor 40 years ago and still blossoming. As I am a music junkie since the age of 15, I have lost count how many times I have visited their stores especially in Melbourne over the years. At times some of their products can be a little over the top but you will find some excellent prices. As I do a lot of shopping online I do find you can purchase the same goods for a lot less depending on what you require, and with Amazon just around the corner and they're looking at warehouses outside of Melbourne by the end of the year no doubt there will be a lot of competition it will be Interesting to see what it would be like on the first day hmm,
Went into the store today, customer service was really good. The girl at the counter with the white braids was extremely helpful and lovely. Will definitely be back
The lady who seemed to be a manager was giving the shortest possible answers to my question and didn't seem willing to help at all. Other things were pretty good.
I love shopping here! Wide selection, consistently excellent service (from knowledgeable staff!), and competitive prices. It gets absolutely crazy around Christmas, but they process everyone quickly, so a line snaking halfway down the store might clear in 10-15mins. One year a staff member grabbed something I'd forgotten off the shelf for me once I was already in line!
After contacting them three times about a simple apple thunderbolt adapter to the point where I had to physically visit the store. Not one staff member was knowledgeable enough to help. What made matters worse is their unbelievable ego. Like working at jbhifi makes you awesome or even a specialist.
Not coming back
Opens late, so perfect for stopping by after work. Big store, good range, but sometimes smells weird - not sure why.
You want DVDs and CD's? Yep you can still buy them here, and the best range in town
Great service, even when it's busy. Always deals and sales going on, which can save you heaps. I've always relied on jb-hi-fi for technology, unless I manage to find a cheaper price else where.
Bought a new Surface computer here today. Was served by a young guy with spiky hair. He was awesome! Super helpful and friendly, and worked with me to get the computer and accessories for the best price possible
