Everything was great if we were not suffered from cigarette smoke even though we were sitting inside. Smoke came from upstairs somehow.

I decided to take my girlfriend here for her 21st lunch. If I knew how the management would have been I would have taken her elsewhere.

The pub itself looks amazing and although my steak was well done when I asked for medium-rare, this wasn't the issue. The problem that we faced was the customer service. As an employee of a pub I know exactly how they should have run this place and am disgusted.

Upon entry I showed the manager my groupon voucher. He looks at me and gives a very nasty look stating that we NEEDED a printed out version of the groupon ticket. Once hassling us for a good 10 minutes he decides to actually read the terms of groupon and realises that we CAN bring the ticket on smart phone. I do not appreciate a place that doesn't know their own policy for starters.

After this incident, he didn't apologise or try to rectify the situation, instead he acted immensely childish every time we asked for something. For example; I explained it was her 21st birthday so we would love to get her a cosmopolitan cocktail (which was advertised in large font on the front board) he then mumbled under his breath aggressively and said "I don't know I'll try and make one". I'm sorry, but I do not believe this is how you act when you are the on duty manager. Especially when two paying customers (one of which is having their 21st birthday) are completely following the rules.

I thought maybe this was due to the manager having a bad day, tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. I realised this wasn't the issue when he served us our food. He had spoken to the chef and the chef explained that he can use their ipad to scan our groupon barcode (again I don't know why the manager didn't know a simple groupon scan). As soon as he realised he could scan the groupon he become a lot nicer, re confirming to me that he didn't need to act so horrible and treat us like second class citizens simply due to the fact of us using a service which his work place signed up for in the first place.

TL;DR: Service was absolutely horrid, steak was overcooked, burger was lovely and the pub itself looks cool. DON'T BRING SOMEONE HERE ON THEIR BIRTHDAY IT RUINED HER DAY

Great food and really lovely staff. Don't be fooled by the front, the back where you sit down and have dinner is really nice! Will definately be back

Friendly place, Locals are absolutely nice people to mingle. Bar staff are friendly and hospitable. Don't have late night food service. You must visit if you enjoy meeting new people.

It was okay. Table of 7. Food was slow to come out. One of the steaks was very undercooked while others were borderline. What made it good was the value for money. Huge serving of food for a very reasonable price. They were more than happy to replace the steak and even had a manager check in.

Overpriced lunch for below average yummy food. $22 for a chicken parmigiana is what you pay in cbd or eastern suburbs. Lady in front of me returned a pull pork burger as it was cold.

This is unexpected visit that i made as i dont usually go out to pubs during working days. This place is right next to concord west station, has a decent pricing on beerand wines. Foods are great, decent pricing for what you get. Unfortunately the person who i spoke did tell me it is not allowed to take photos (the dining area is decorated with wine bottles. Looks pretty awesome) but really, the lounge alone speaks for it. Good place to be

Had dinner with friends last night. I had the best rump steak and fries that I can remember in a very long time. It was absolutely awesome.
