I've taken a bit of time to write this review however it's not positive on the whole. Although the food has some decent but not spectacular flavours at George's, the value for money is horrendous. The Valentine's Day 'Special' (if you could call it a special at $130 for two!) is grossly overpriced for relatively small portions of mediocre Mediterranean cuisine. This was back in 2016 so I can only assume prices have increased since then (God forbid!). Definitely won't be coming back.

We had a party of over 20 people and had preselected the banquet but it was not a banquet. By definition, a banquet is an elaborate and formal dinner where there should be lots of food on the table.

We had olives upon arrival (ate within 15 seconds- no refill whilst we waited for other guests). Waited an hour for the first dish to come out which was dip and bread! DIP AND BREAD - it doesn't take an hour to prepare.. (their excuse of "we wait till everyone arrives before we start cooking" We were hangry.) We even played noughts and crosses to entertain ourselves on the paper on the table. Salads served at the end too when we had finished eating most of the meat and seafood dishes.

With all the other restaurants around King St Wharf, this is the first and last time coming here. Not worth the money. How was the food? Had better!

The matre de was dressed inappropriately. (Too casual). She used poor table service.

We were served later by Ziggy who was very good at his job.

The food was delicious. But poor customer service meant our experience was not as good.

Had lunch on a weekday using a Groupon voucher. Food nice, service ok (not many there) However told only at the end of meal that voucher only paid for food not bottle of wine. Only had food to the value of $70, voucher for $110. No credit voucher for difference and asked to pay for wine (even though voucher would have more than covered food and wine) Big rip off!!

I am giving it two stars..first one for the location & the second one for my Eggs Benedict Out of 6 items we ordered only 2 came out good or as expected. I would say wait staff were accomodting and prompt in fixing their errors. I can't comment on lunch or dinner but surely not a very good place for breakfast.

DO NOT GO HERE! The food is mediocre and the service is absolutely grotesque. It is a very pretty restaurant but that it the only redeeming quality. Our waiter's name was Eli, according to my receipt, and he was very very rude to my mother and me. We sat and waited for service for at least 8-10 minutes before he came over and barked at us to give him our orders. My mother ordered us a side salad to split along with our appetizer and he never brought it out. Our waters were never refilled unless we specifically asked a random waiter that was wondering around and he also walked away as my mother was asking to order a glass of wine with her entree. The tables around us were also served by the same waiter and they were asked if they wanted desserts, to go boxes, anything at all. He dropped our check off at our table and walked away without asking if we wanted any dessert to eat there or to go. When it was time to pay, he didn't even bother to come over and give us a proper farewell, but rather sent one of the other waiters over to take our payment. I am appalled by the lack of professionalism that this man showed and he put on a very bad face for the company. If you are visiting Sydney and are staying near Darling Harbor, please do not go here. It was one of the worst restaurant experiences that I have been through.
