This was my first time at the Holiday Inn Darling Harbour. I found the room to be clean, spacious, quiet and economical compared to some of the other choices. I was in town for an exhibition at the ICC on Darling Harbour and the location of the Holiday Inn was ideally situated being only a short distance away, and with plenty of dining options within the precinct. Also a shout out to the friendly, helpful staff at the reception that made checking and checking out a very efficient process. Highly recommend it
Nice hotel. It is easy to get to and lots of places to visit around the area.
The room was spacious and the bathroom was clean and well laid out. Bathroom door was a bit annoying as it swung into the shower opening.
Basic tea and coffee options.
Staff were very friendly and happy to answer any questions. There is a breakfast buffet that has a good range but is a bit expensive.
Location is not bad. The lobby seemed small and slightly crammed.
However, the rooms are pretty spacious and comfortable. It even comes with firm and soft pillows for your comfort.
The staff are also very pleasant and allows food delivery to be placed at front desk so you don't have to rush down when your food arrives.
Amenities like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, cotton pads and shower cap is available in room. If you need others such as toothbrush, you can ask from the friendly front desk.
Great and comfortable hotel. Spent 3 nights here during my visit to Sydney. The room was clean and spacious, though I didn't get a nice view from my room (just had a big wall on the other side). The hotel location is so close to Paddys market, Chinatown, and tourism spots. Definitely recommended.
We were really happy with our 5 day stay here recently. We chose a 1 king bed apartment room which was a great size and included a separate seating area to the bedroom. The bathroom included a large shower and bath. The included breakfast provided plenty of options. There is also a gym on the third floor for guests to use. The holiday inn is located right in the heart of china town which is an area we hadn't stayed before, usually choosing to stay in the rocks area. But this was a great spot surrounded by a range of Asian restaurants and bars. The closest tram stop is only a couple.of minutes walk away. Highly recommended place to stay for your next trip to Sydney.
10 mins walk to Darling Harbour. Clean simple room set up. Nice selection of tea bags and small packs of instant coffee with sugar and small capsules of milk provided.
Staffs doing room service are great too. Check-in is quite hassle free. Other than all these positives, every other aspects are just average unfortunately. To me, the biggest attraction is the closeness of the hotel to Darling Harbour and yet not overly expensive to stay in.
Nice hotel not very far from the Darling Harbour. It has 2 restaurants. Typical Holiday Inn service can be expected as with all Holiday Inn hotels in the world.
Location was 10 min from the station. Rooms were big but weren't that nice, but comforts let enough. Toilet flush was very week. Toiletries provided. Level 2 is called Laundry and literally smells like Laundry so try to avoid that floor. Staff were very friendly and nice.
Better than I thought.. I had a room on lvl2 which seemed recently renovated. It was modern and clean. Great pillow options and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom was modern and clean. Seperate shower which is much better than a shower in a Bath. I didn't eat there as there are many options close by as you are in the heart of China town.
Excellent place to stay, no complaints at all. Decent sized rooms, helpful and friendly staff, comfortable bed and no noise. Very happy
Very nice hotel. Clean. Very good service. Tasty meals in restaurants. Very quiet in the rooms. Complimentary bottled water.
Overpriced for dated, unserviced bathrooms, faulty equipment, dont order the $30 pizza unless you like the taste of salt and sauce. Smelly rooms, unventilated, rattly ac exhaust grill. Old amenities .
Nice clean room with ample space (king bed room), bathroom a little small but good. Staff very polite. $20pp for breakfast and it was great. Just like any good hotel. Very impressed!

Conveniently located, adjacent to foody china town. Walkable to all forms of commuting
Older property but we'll maintained and clean. The room I was in had a desk and decent chair. Armchair and bag rack. Bathroom was a good size but the shower was over the bath and a bit awkward. It's actually located adjacent to Chinatown at the southern end of the darling harbour area. Decent option for cheaper accommodation for the conference centre or southern end of the city
Really enjoyed. Very good service and rooms quality. Greetings to lady from restaurant!
The hotel room was nice, if a little basic. The TV was pretty good quality with HD signals from most Australian channels and a variety of Asian stations. Up on the ninth floor, the room was quiet: and that's suprising, because directly opposite the hotel is a massive building site, with cranes operational from very early morning. The location is good for access to Sydney, though is in a relatively seedy bit of town with lots of construction work going on - lots and lots. But it's close to Central Station, from where you can get anywhere, and closer still to the light tram, from where you can get virtually nowhere. It's certainly not a fancy hotel, but it doesn't feel horribly cheap either; the rooms are a sensible size and for an overnight stay I'd probably go again.
Great overall experience, good rooms with friendly service. Spacious and luxurious with a classy touch. Fantastic pricing and appropriate for my overnight stay, and any occasion otherwise. Would recommend to a friend.
