-Friendly staff: clearly know what they're doing without being obnoxious.
-good value: they're out there to spread the joys of music, not to rip anyone off.
-cool environment: many beautiful instruments on the wall, old and new, truly magical feel to it.

Rude staff, was just enquiring about a certain guitar pedal and how it works. instead of explaining, I was being asked how long I have been playing guitar instead and was amused about it. Very stereotyped unprofessional.

I had 3 singing lessons at guitar village. After the third lesson the teacher said he didn't know what else to teach me and that I should just come back and play some guitar and sing with him. It was obvious that despite being a decent singer himself he'd had no training and didn't know how to teach. The positive was that at least he was honest about not knowing what to teach me and didn't waste my time and money. I now go to another local music store for lessons where all the teachers have university degrees and really know their stuff.
Don't waste your time having lessons here.
