What an absolute joke, went there for a wedding reception , sat down and they told us the table we were at was for the public. There was absolutely nowhere else to sit at a table, unless we sat outside on a cold windy day.We left disgusted at their attitude.

Great locationas you are on the Esplanade and can get water views. Food is good. Basic menu. Price high for what it is.

Great atmosphere, great staff, great starters, but long wait on mains that weren’t so flash.

Hadn't been here before. Dropped in for an impromptu breakfast. Service was excellent. Salmon and poached eggs were tiny for the price point. Eggs were overlooked. Came with two small pieces of white bread- looked like a kids meal.
My partner had scrambled eggs that were heavy on the oil and lacking in flavour.
Wouldn't go back or recommend it unfortunately.

A nice place to sit when the suns out. Could do with some more vegan options. Have been left waiting a few times for food and service. Popular place that gets very busy, mainly for location.

My partner and l had dinner here whilst away on a long weekend, our first time staying in Torquay. Experience at Growlers could not have been better! Food was excellent - full of flavour, fresh, great selection of drinks and we were happy with the prices. But best of all was the service we received. Bobby greeted us at the door, opening it for us (great welcome & first impression) and with the rest of the staff, they checked in regularly, served and cleared professionally and best of all, did not rush us, but instead took the time the talk to us and made us feel extremely comfortable. They were happy to make me a cocktail that was not on the menu and nothing seemed too much trouble. The owners were not on the premises at the time but should be congratulated for having such a fantastic team in charge. We will definitely be back and will recommend to others. Great job Growlers! - Cheers, Lisa & Stuart.

Average food at best, the pork belly was barely edible and the risotto was bland. The pizzas were the saving grace and were decent.

Disappointing to say the least. Expensive but average quality food. Breakfast was cold. Toast came out as bread. Half a tomato served as "grilled tomatoes". On a positive note, coffee was good. Sadly, don't think I'll bother to go back to Growlers again.

Went to Growlers for a family meal. Service was a bit patchy but everything was corrected once we pointed it out. Food was pretty good but not amazing. The gnocchi sauce had an overpowering onion flavour, the 'paella' is just rice with seafood mixed in, the salt &pepper squid salad was good but we hadn't expected it to be breaded and fried. Nothing was inedible

Considering my friend is a very fussy eater and normally sends everything back to the kitchen. She didnt send anything back. Food was mouthwatering.
Do yourself and your taste buds a favor go have a meal there. And enjoy the view
