The restaurant is nice and cozy. The service was exactly what you would expect from a small country town and the food was fantastic. Definitely worth a visit

Lovely meal, ambience and service. Rated it 4 stars as our steaks were more well done than med/rare and I didn't think there was value in the $45 price tag. 1 scallop, 2 mussles and 2 shrivelled up frozen prawns. Would of given 5 stars if the prawns were King prawns!!

Really cute little boutique hotel/bar/restaurant. My wife and I stayed here as a stopping point half way from Melbourne up to Mount Buller. Nice spacious rooms with high ceilings, all renovated and very classy. Tasty wine list, beers on tap, country hospitality, what more can you ask for. Will be heading back.

Lunch. Pork belly entre and fisherman's bowl main. Both very nice. Not a big wine list but most preferences catered for. Recommend this restaurant.

Spent a day driving from Narbethong via 4WD track and through some spectacular scenery to Yea. We arrived around 3pm and were promptly shown to our room which was lovely and cool after hot day of driving. We showered and joined other patrons who were there to partake in the monthly wine tasting and listened to some chilled out music. with some great wine, good music and some littlies dancing about we spent a restful afternoon. We dined in the restaurant after a little rest in our room. I had the special which was sticky pork ribs .. yum and my husband had pork belly which he said was also delicious. Ordered a great bottle of granache which we had enjoyed during the wine tasting. Too full for dessert we took a leisurely night time walk through Yea.. and then back to Peppercorn for a very comfortable night sleep. Checking the diary for when we can enjoy another weekend escape. Our hosts Kelly and Chris were welcoming and friendly.
