Food was divine, small tapas style. Lucky we weren't looking for a bit lunch. It was super enjoyable snacks. $12 per small plate x5 small plates wasnt bad. Although no one walked away full, it was just what we needed to keep on our wine tasting trip. Staff was super friendly, fellow customers we also full of smiles and very accepting of our young children. Views were stunning out the full wall of windows facing the orchard and vineyards. Would come back again!
Fantastic local organic tapas food and very friendly service.. But get there early.. This place gets busy!
Extremely knowledgeable and helpful guide to our wine tasting. Nice casual eating available.
This place was recommended to us and unfortunately we cannot pass this recommendation on. The food was very average (meatballs served still stuck together and not particularly thrilling in flavour) and small serves for the price they charged. Wine tastings were held in the restaurant that was rather smokey, so not a great environment to try wine! The wines that we tried were good, but not great.
I was extremely angry when my friend and I (2 people) were asked to have a wine if we wanted to wait for a table. While waiting, we saw groups of 4 or 6 simply walk in and get tables, no questions asked (no bookings had been made by them). When I asked why they couldn't separate 2 tables of 2 so we could have a table, the guy in charge, dismissively said that they get more money for 4 people and not 2! We were totally astounded. When I said that we had already waited for over 30 min, he simply replied, 'did we want a table or not? (whenever that was going to be!). I think this place gets enough people, so my advice to TWO people - is GO ELSEWHERE! I live in Red Hill, and there are much nicer and accommodating places than this!
Get in early; this place gets busy. It is only a small cellar door, but who cares about size when you have great wine and one of the most peaceful views from the back deck. When looking out across the valley, it is easy to lose the sense of time, especially with a glass of sparkling in hand.
With six or seven wines on hand to try and a buzzing atmosphere make sure you visit Foxy’s hangout
Good food, nice view - but don't take the feed-me menu. Does not make sense from a pricing perspective
Amazing triple cream cheese and the best pinot gris on the peninsula. Zucchini fritters also fantastic.
Absolutely wonderful! Came in with a group of seven in the afternoon and did a wine tasting while we waited for a table to become available. The whole time the manager was keeping us updated on what was happening with the table. The wines were all lovely and we were well informed on the history of the wines, the wine making process and the various other aspects of the wine we were tasting.
Food was delicious, we had the mushroom rolls, the quail and the spiced meatballs and they were all divine. Staff were all very attentive, informative and helpful.
Everything they served was perfect. We went with friends and between us we tried almost everything on offer. Each plate was cooked to perfection and used incredibly fresh ingredients. Friendly staff, who also did incredibly well on a particularly busy day. The wine tasting also included some lovely Wines.
