Very small yet expensive meals. You will be lucky to be served with 100 grams of fish or lamb for a main. Be prepared to stop somewhere on the way home to have a second course.

The pours of wine by the glass were on the stingy side. Half a glass of the cheapest sparkling is $17. The quality of the food was good, yet would be exceeded by any average restaurant in Melbourne.

That being said, the staff were remarkably good and the building, surrounds and view are incredible. Expect to pay $250 for the cheapest bottle of red and two courses for two people.

Two stars for a small, expensive and average meal in the most luxurious of venues with wonderful staff.

Good wines, two dining options - formal and casual, although neither are open every day so it pays to check. Brilliant views over the vines to the ocean.

What a disappointment!
We booked the fathers day tasting room special lunch. The prawn entrée consisted of few flavourless pawns sitting in a bowl of iceberg lettuce. The chicken “Coq au Vin” had black burnt skin and had dried out, possibly because it took nearly an hour for the second course to arrive. It was tasteless .The lemon tart was underwhelming. All this with a serious price tag.

We booked on the basis of having an excellent and original meal in the dining room a couple of years ago. Won’t be back again!

What a fantastic estate Port Phillip Estate is. Welcomed by a giant wooden door, this estate reeks of elegance and class. Our wine tasting session was only complemented further by the knowledge and understanding of Julie (our wine tasting Port Phillip Estate staff member) had to add to our experience, while educating my group of what Port Phillip Estate has to offer in terms of wine.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys fine wines and delicious food.

Just walked out from pretentious establishment after being subjected to the rudest service I've ever experienced in 58 years. Disgustingly snobby. Stupid management. You have no idea of who you are serving and who they know. After working at 5 star international restaurants myself, this place is quite simply a joke. No matter how good your food or wine may be, if you don't train your staff in how to treat people you will fail. Too bad the snobby service was so unpalatable we lost our appetite.

Went to this picturesque location for a staff Christmas function. The building at the winery was very modern with a large deck to enjoy some drinks and the beautiful view of the vineyard in the sunshine. The dining area has large windows to take advantage of the views. The staff were polished and helpful. Food was modern, creative and tasty. The serves were not large. The wine list had a mixed selection of local and wines from other regions. It was not a cheap meal, but was enjoyable.

My family and I went to the bistro to eat a meal and we were asked to wait to be seated which we happily obliged to. During the wait we decided to taste some wine. The lady we had (short-shoulder length, blonde hair, middle aged) was extremely rude, inattentive and quite obviously racist since we aren't white and left us halfway through the wine tasting. We were ready to buy some wine but decided against it due to the poor service we received. The hostess at the bistro however was lovely. However we did have to wait for quite a while for our main meal and received no apology. Dressing was also missing from a meal which was quickly fixed for us. The bistro meals were delicious and good for the price.
