Went there for a work meeting and the staff at reception were lovely and the room was really well decorated. Which is so rare to not just sit in a white walled boring room! Well done East Hotel!

lovely hotel. thanks to kaylin n the lovely reception staff. i left a pair of keys behind and they took great care to sending it back to me in sydney. lovely hotel. lovely restaurant only missing a pool!

This really is an awesome hotel, especially for international and longer stay visitors with many rooms featuring a functional kitchen with microwave, 2 hot plates, wall oven, dishwasher and full size fridge and freezer. There is also a laundry with washing machine and seperate dryer with detergent provided. If you have a studio Style room there is still a free guest laundry on level 5 with detergent provided. No annoying coin slots. The staff are incredibly well trained and very friendly. On site restaurant and bars are very cool with great ambience and menus. The hotel is also easy walking distance to the Manuka shops and restaurants. I don't give a score of 5 very often but after several stays at this property it is a very easy 5 stars from me. Enjoy your stay.

Overall quite disappointing. On arrive we were greeted by a strong smell of deep fat frying at reception . a first for us ! There is a restaurant in the lobby. It was really off putting.
Mostly we were disappointed by the hygiene of the rooms. Housekeeping was not good. We had the cubby room and there was left over popcorn on the balcony and sweet wrappers on the kids bedroom floor from previous guests.
This was probably a good option for kids years ago when the rooms were new and they didn't have stained and dirty couches. Won't be returning any time soon !response / report this review -

My second time at this hotel, it's a very comfortable and friendly place. Staff has invariably been extremely helpful. Rooms are good sized with small but functional kitchens. Restaurant, Joe's Bar, and bookstore/cafe (pictured) all on premises. Recommended.

What a great spot! Love the decor. Loved that a waiter took my drink order from my table at the bar - very nice touch. Also the truffle pizza is fab - I'm still thinking about it a day later!

Very large and comfortable one bedroom apartment. Everything provided for a fantastic stay. Make sure you book a table if you want to eat downstairs though, it gets packed for both dinner and breakfast. Agostini's: also amazing.

We dined at the new Agostinis Restaurant. We had a great experience. The 3 person steak was amazing. Some new restaurant jitters with unskilled staff. And the shredded asparagus was not a hit at the table.

Quality of the finishes are great, yet surpassed by the service. So many little touches are thought of, and having kids stay is no problem at all (even small chocolate bars added to room for the kids -and not part of mini bar). This is now our only Canberra hotel!

This hotel, conveniently placed in Canberra, is the pinnacle of luxury. From the large, well equipped rooms, to the friendly staff whom greet you upon entry, it is always a treat to stay here. Also, don't forget that ever present fragrance which envelopes the reception area; and, follows you through to the lolly and water counter, where your cup is never empty. It is difficult to convey the appreciation for the stay with mere words.

Wow. What a wonderful stay. Friendly staff, great facility and spacious comfortable rooms ideal for both long and short stays. Combined with great in-house restaurants, bars and cafes, the East Hotel has it all for a great stay.
