Room was nice and big and staff were very friendly. Location was fine, close enough to the city centre.

The room was big, everything was clean. The heating worked well and the food was yummy. The spa was a bit loud and the bubbles were pretty intense but apart from that it was a perfect stay.

We had dinner at Booked, the restaurant at the diplomat. It's a relaxed and quite place to eat. The means were good, having veggies with the meat as well. Would recommend.

This is a lovely hotel which caters well for children. There are lots of kids games in the foyer and a happy hour for the parents :)

The building is well kept, and very interesting in its layout with the book-themed bar/restaurant in the middle. The rooms are decent enough. The seem a little aged but are well-kept, and there is very good water pressure. There is Wi-Fi here which is important as I am here for work and need to connect to work to check mail and do small tasks occasionally. Check in was quick and painless, and everything was in order. I do warn you about the indoor car park, there are spots between very tight columns: if you have a second person, your car should fit with a bit of direction. The parking is secured behind gates. The hotel has a bit of a well-known used feel to it. It came recommended by friends of mine, and it has lived up to their recommendation.

Nice well located hotel. Interiors are dated but clean and comfortable. Apparently to be renovated soon.

Absolutely fantastic!!! Stayed in a King Spa Suite and got the bed and breakfast deal. We loved both the spa and the bed (definitely the comfiest I've ever slept on!), plus the suite had a beautiful view of the sunrise. The only downside was all the fittings were quite old, and the Foxtel was blurry but it added to the overall cosy-feeling of the suite and meant that my partner and I spent more time talking with each other (and playing board games). The high point was definitely the downstairs restaurant and bar, Booked. The breakfast buffet was amazing, and the staff were very helpful and attentive, offering to warm or recook any food that wasn't to our liking. The dinner we had was also amazing, best steak I've had in a long time, and the buffalo wings were to die for. We didn't want to leave, after spending so much time in such a relaxing environment and will definitely be back.

I'm only 10, however I loved it. I stayed for two days and it was fantastic. There were only a few downsides though. It was a bit hard to get in and out of the bath/shower. Construction across the road started early in the morning and woke my family up. Car park was too small. Car park was really hard to move around. Please think about giving spots to keep for the stay so people won't have to get home early to get a spot. Other than that I was completely happy about it. The restaurant Booked was awesome too, great staff, great food and great location.

Easy to find, comfortable rooms, friendly staff, half price happy hour, undercover car park, sauna, gym, pool and endless books to read. All good things. Only issue was that our room was directly next to the kitchen and was a little noisy. Would definitely stay again when next in town.

Not bad. The staff are great. Rooms are a bit tired or at least ours is. Still it's decent value for money and the shower is incredibly powerful!
