Not bad rooms but a bit dated. When you enter the hotel you are immediately faced with going down steps to get to the reception. NO LIFT!! You physically have to stumble your big heavy cases. Then you have to lift your case again to get to a lift to your room. So weird I've never heard of a hotel set out like this. If any improvements this would have to take priority. Especially for older people.

Decent place with a good size room but unfortunately the older building creaks and groans, forcing you to listen in on every movement on the floor above you. Also, the breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. Get a top floor suite and avoid breakfast and this is a fine place for a few nights.

Beds could be better and the floors are so creaky the people above us would wake us up/ keep us awake anytime they walked or even stood in the same place. Also the water pressure in the shower made it very hard to wash properly, it was practically nonexistant and only luke warm. Don't pay for the breakfast, you're better of with McDonalds fot half the price. It was gross. Wifi is good though.

Punched above its weight for the price. Clean and the complimentary full breakfasts were great. A little tired in some places but price and general location made for a good holiday. The only negative was it was a little noisy in our room at the front of the building. Probably not like that towards the back. Free wifi and a good view included. Would stay there again but would want a rear facing room.

A decent enough hotel based near key icons and famous places in Sydney. The rooms are clean and made every day of you want them too. WiFi is free of you book a room. Rooms are quite old especially in the bathroom. Water sometimes drips from the tap on it's own and lights exceptionally dirty with dead bugs and other things crawling around in it. I would recommend if staying for a few days although there is room for improvement.

Me & my family just back from Sydney last week, we stay in DeVere Hotel, Kings Cross in 3 separate rooms for 4 nights.
What do we expect from an old 3 star hotel? I am very satisfied with the hotel & room facilities , internet wifi, staffs and the breakfast. The only one need to improve is the bed.
I was surprise with the scenery from outside my room window (attached herewith), it was amazing & I love it.

Rooms are ok. Wifi weak and breakfast not so good. Better not include it when booking. Best go to a cafe. Hotel situated in a good area. Staff is very helpful.

The room was clean and very nice. There was nobody to great us at the front rest the front desk on arrival, but they had an envelop with our room info in it ready to be picked up. Full kitchen and a large TV were great to have. Would definitely stay here again.
