I just love Canberra and Commonwealth Park is such a beautiful part of our Capital. From Floriade to the Castle playground, the lake, ducks, picnic areas and beauty .. you just can't get enough of it.
A wonderful place during the Springtime while Floriade is on and flowers are filling the warm air with such a mesmerising sweet smell.
This is a park in canberra. There are many events held here over the year. Nice and green area with tall trees in places
I found it quite pretty, though experiencing it alone made for a pleasant yet somewhat melancholic experience. This should not deter others, it is quite breathtaking with something for young & old alike. I highly recommend a visit whether you are a local or from out of town.
Only one word can describe Commonwealth Park, Breathtaking. Floriade gets so much attention from thousands of people from around the world and that is in good reason. The displays are amazing and the environment is just beautiful. Commonwealth Park is just a great place to take the family for a walk, or even a picnic. Even when floriade isn't on, it's the perfect place to get out of your homes and enjoy Canberra!
No one should miss the beauty of these gardens at Floriade. They are magnificent with millions of flowers in bloom. It's an absolute credit to the organisers. A wonderful day out.
Fantastic large shady park near the city centre. Very popular.
Wonderful park with lots of hidden and cosy areas. Great place for walks or bike rides. By the lake or near the ponds. great little "castle" where kids look after themselves and parents can just relax.
Love coming to Floriade every Spring, such a highlight of Canberra. A beautiful day out in a garden by the lake
Another brilliant Canberra park - plenty of water frontage. Great place to ride, suitable for road bikes as well as the bike paths are in fairly good condition and run the whole way through.
Beautiful gardens all year round and there are often waterbirds nesting in nerang pool. Kids enjoyed the castle themed playground but it is a little scary for patents (you lose line of sight). Could be more seating near the park.
