Atmosphere was good, $19 lunch set meal entree and mains. Some mains were good value e.g. pizza, pasta, calzone and fish and chips.
Food and Atmosphere was Amazing
I had the set lunch special. It was fantastic! Just $19 for a choice from 3 generous entrees, plus choice from 10 mains including pasta, calzone and scollapini and a choice of tea or coffee! Was delicious and service and atmosphere very good!! I highly recommend it. Wine by the glass also reasonable and good choices!
Right off the bat the most important thing I can say is the food was just amazing. Wonderful fresh exciting food bursting with flavour, a real joy to not only eat but to savour.
Enjoyable cozy atmosphere and great service, I can guarantee you will not be disappointed if you choose to dine here.
My only cautious advice would be for the kitchen to be more courageous in seasoning some their dishes (carpaccio, polenta), or placing salt on the table.
Also try the anchovies, they are un-bloody-believable.
I met the girl of my dreams in this place and we both enjoyed the wood fire garlic bread with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. In addition, the Ravioli Anatra and Tiramisu goes down well with a glass of Long Rail Gully Pinot Gris. The restaurant design is aesthetically pleasing, with the only major issue being that it's too noisy even in the quietest areas of the room. It's best to visit outside of popular times when you can, otherwise you won't be able have a conversation with the friendly staff or people you visit with.
Lovely atmosphere and good service. I had the polenta gnoccho, entreé size, and it was delicious. My dinner companions had Zia and Marguerite pizzas which they enjoyed. The garlic bread was a bit hohum. Very popular spot on a Friday night.
Me and my wife had a wonderful experience on Valentine's day at this restaurant. The food is great. From entrée to desserts, it was worth it. The service is amazing.. we'd love to go back!
Went here for my significant other's 21st for a romantic evening and La Cantina did not disappoint. The duck Ravioli Anatra was the best I've ever had; the decour is right out of a probincial Italian wine cellar. The atmosphere and service are wonderfully relaxed and inviting. I plan on recommending La Cantina to all my friends. Wonderful place.
Super greasy whitebait which didn't need thick batter, unappetising appearance of a forgettable gnocci but with a wonderful ragu. If the menu was half the price, we'd go back but it was way too expensive for what it was. Lovely decor, pleasant staff.
One great little Italian Restaurant accidentally stumbled across! Absolute perfect meal! As a huge foodie this place is just spot on with its food. Service is a little slow but worth the wait. Will be back.
