They took the $300 bond . the room was left nice and clean. Never got the $300 back into my account . Been three weeks now . still waiting

This is a tourist trap, avoid this so called ' service apartment' by all means!
The Property is in extremely poor condition and have not been renovated since it was built . I am not sure how many people passed away in these old apartments but management could at lease change the outdated, and bad ordered carpets!
Bathroom is an awful condition, leaking taps and bugs everywhere, sheets and pillows were clean but the room had strange smell like pee smells.
This building is run and managed by a middle age man, textremely rude and aggressive toward guests.
He had no respect toward the guest whatsoever.
He was not professionall and still living in an old era which accommodation provides could do anything to the guests without being caught and apparently he is not aware of the consumer rights,he is under impression that he can yell and shout at guests whenever a reasonable request like cancelling a booking arises.
I felt like he was the gaurdian of prison during my stay there ! he also illigally withholds bond money from the guests.
Overall I do not recommend this place to anyone.response / report this review -

Great central location near Lygon St cafes and restaurants and an easy walk to the CBD. Very friendly and helpful reception staff.

The room was ok, but the biggest gripe is that somehow between the wotif booking at then checking out I somehow got charged a fee for having a sofa bed in the room I was staying in, regardless of the fact I did not ask for it, or needed it (one person staying in a room with a queen bed). And would not negotiate this error, so had to pay $35 extra for nothing, and then the over the top $300 credit card holding for damages takes quite a while to be released (Bank related) but when its such a large amount its quite annoying.
