Hired a car through Cairns Affordable Car Rentals in July 2014.

My experience was that they provide a friendly quality service. Vehicle was well maintained and clean and drove well. Located just outside the airport but pick up and drop off was not a problem at all.
They provided a quality and affordable car hire service.

DONT HIRE A CAR FROM HERE! we took out full insurance on our car before we hired it and found out after our accident it was worthless (they dont tell you that it only covers windscreen and tyreswtf??).

Even worse they withdrew the full amount of damages (running in the thousands) from my credit card WITHOUT my consent and BEFORE fault has been determined (waiting on the police report).

my bank has now launced proceedings against this company. the owner is a criminal!

The owner of Cairns Older Car hire is nothing more than a crook. i rented a vehicle that was in dangerous condition. I didnt know this until I was too far away to return. When i returned the vehicle i mentioned it with no intention of trying to get money back, but what ensued was a big argument where he basically said i was lying. I told him to go out and test the vehicle which he did and when he came back all he had to say was "well you should have brought it back" Most rude nasty business owner i have ever met.

Great pick up from airport. Friendly staff. We read the fine print (like returning car with FULL tank of petrol, otherwise $30 fee). On returning the car we were given a lift to our hotel in Cairns. Highly recommended.

Two words - Hidden Charges !!!!! Bad service !!!! This is the worst car rental experience I've ever had. Seven (7) days after returning the car and I'm still waiting on the $500 Bond Deposit they are holding on my Credit Card. They Charged an extra $30 plus fuel on my credit card 4 days later to sent someone to go full the car with $18.40 worth of fuel !!! WORST EVER !!!!! THE EXTRA CHARGED JUST DOESN'T STOP !!!!
