Bunnings has been in decline for some time now. Out of stock products are getting worse. Whenever I go there I can never get everything I need. There is always something out of stock.
I’m a commercial power pass account holder. It doesn’t mean anything to the business. They will help you no more than anyone else even though you spend $$$ in their stores. Their account records apparently only go back 3 months. Which is close to useless for warranties.
Their customer service is a joke. The team members will point you in the general direction of the store when looking for a product. I remember the small hardwares where you would be shown in person where the product you want is. It saddens me to see how far the industry has fallen.
The prices at Bunnings are generally high. Their mark ups are huge! They purchase inferior timber at ridiculous rates and make huge margins and if you special order anything they mark it up 100%!!
If you are after tools. Head to total tools! They have comparable prices on certain things and they keep records of you have an account. Very useful. If you need timber. Try Bowens. Good quality timber.
It is very common to have a bad experience at Bunnings but is it worth going through knowing the prices aren’t so cheap?response / report this review -

As a large hardware store it's got everything. and key cutting services are very cheap. like stores staff try to do there best when it comes to customers.

Computers, why do we have them? I rang Bunnings Preston re a special fan. They said to me "not in stock". The computer says Thomastown have one, thanks & bye. I ring Thomastown, sorry buddy "none in stock", the computer says Preston have one!!! I mention my travels thus far which leads me to Epping. The good folk in Epping tell me "never heard of such an item" try Middies. Little Britain frikin nailed it- The computer says NO

After some lacklustre experiences at a couple of other outlets this was a refreshing experience. Pleasantly greeted by staff in gardening section, pointed in the right direction by floor staff and approached by staff in the tool shop who no doubt noticed how lost and confused I looked. Register service was efficient and out I went with everything I needed quickly and with no fuss. This is a large store too even by Bunnings standards so I think I will travel here in future rather than rely on closer but less reliable outlets.

A big thank you to Marcus tonight achieving what seemed impossible. Marcus was able to get my new Victa Classic 18inch lawn mover into my extremely small Ford Focus Trend. Brilliant assistance, again, thank you Marcus :)

I have found that since the demise of "Masters", prices at Bunnings on many items have gone up, especially in the garden department.

Wide range of products. Much better than previous location at High Street. But customer services not much different with other Bunnings, hard to find. One thing annoyed me is someone closed the gate at the garden section while I was there last time, hours before the shop closed?? The reason I parked near the gate is so that my father don't have to walk too far. So we had to walked a big round just to get back to the car with few thing in hand. And we are not the only one, few other older couples too. Why can't the staffs tell the customers earlier they are going to closed the gate??

Fantastic customer service Gabriela and Steve went out of their way to help and the nice young man who helped load our heavy boxes into the car, I will always shop at this Bunnings from now on 10 out of 10😀

Great service from Steve in special orders however if you guys want to go home in 15 minutes and tell everyone to "make their way to the registers" get some more registers open than just one in the tool shop and one at the front where the poor girl had to serve, cut keys and answer the phone. Especially when there were plenty of staff running around closing up. Need to improve this guys

Best service special recommend Mr Wayne in hire shop very helpful. Hired compactor even he teach me how to use. When hired in craigiburn wait for 1\2 HR to be load the broken machine which I returned in 1\2 HR and wait 1 HR to get refund. Best store of Bunning Epping rockesss thanx guys help me to finish my job quick

The store is amazing I always receive exceptional service.. A variety of stock for a variety of prices.. Cheapest to the most expensive acknowledge that next time you go in.. Also I read reviews about the boxes at the front and don't be soo greedy those boxes are for people who buy things and need to carry them in something if you havent noticed they don't have plastics bags so they've got boxes for our customers if you need boxes for moving head through aisle 62 it's on the back wall but I think it rude myself if I saw someone come in and without walking inside the store they've walked straight to the box Bay and loaded a trolley of boxes..
