Basic electronics store, it looks quite dusty it offers decent prices
Sold display Delonghi portable air conditioner, but it wasn’t disclosed to me it was operated in store and filter not cleaned regularly.
Small BingLee. They don't have a good range and the price is always high. Shop around.
Service is hit and miss, sometimes they offer toto help you other times staff stand behind the counter and talk to each other.
Top quality goods. Bought a t.v there and still have it to this day.
Very attentive sales staff that will go out of their way to explain things to you. They will do their best to match or beat prices.
They don't have a convenient location for pick up of bulky items. Better to get things delivered if you can't carry them to the nearby car parks or on the train.
Purchased a Logitech K780 keyboard that I had to exchange the next day due to an obvious manufacturing fault. Salesman was unprofessional and quick to redirect the issue being with the customer. He argued that the rubber grip that was falling off the keyboard was designed to be removable (really you boofhead?). He then proceeded to open another box instore to prove his point, but then realised that my complaint was indeed justified as the keyboard he had opened did not have the same fault even after trying to pry it out with his fingers.
To my surprise he remained defiant and then suggested my ? table was the issue and I had to be careful. He finally agreed to exchange the product but did not have the descenecy to exchange it with an unopened box. He instead gave me the box he had already opened. My advice to this shop is to acknowledge manufacturing faults and consumer rights, and train the stupidity out of your staff for better service and customer experience. I hope that moronic salesman reads this review as his actions ruined what should of been an easy transaction.
The store helper here is nice and friendly, as for prices, they can certainly give you some discounts, if you are friendly as well ;)
What happened to the brand of Bing Lee? They used to be the best store for bargaining, now they just never bother giving out any deals. I'm sure Bing Lee will soon be one of the big retailers to struggle to survive in Australia.
Good place for buying home appliances good staff and great prices.
Good job!! Im buying a temporary powebank cos my fone's depleted and they ask me to charge the charger first before using it! Well done! And no offence? The worst customer service exp!!! 👎
Good customer service and price. This Haymarket shop is better than any other Bing Lee Stores in Sydney.
I had a bad experience trying to pick up an item I purchased on Bing Lee's eBay store here.
Bing Lee has - in my opinion - a silly policy of not allowing you to pick up an item if the eBay account is different to the person making the pick up. On a shared family eBay account this is problematic, as my brother and I have used the same eBay account like we do Netflix account. And while I showed a variety of other ID's to prove I made the purchase (proof of purchase and address, etc) I still wasn't able to pick up the item.
I can appreciate that store staff have a company policy they need to stand by, but my real problem (and hence the rating) is the manner in which the staff went about it. The first person I talked to in particular was really rude, with no real concern for the customer at hand. After being constantly interrupted and made to feel like I was justifying how I wasn't a criminal, I ended up cancelling and requesting a refund. The store said I couldn't do that either, and it was the responsibility of eBay to action. I've finally resolved it all, but with JB HiFi and Myer just down the road, I'm surprised they treat their customers in this way.
