This place is incredible! The recent refurbishment/facelift means everything is as modern, clean & beautiful as possible. There are 5 (!!!) pools, a few PT consultation rooms & 3 large spaces where their huge variety of classes are held; also a cafe bursting with healthy snacks, meals, juices etc & 2 balcony sections to sit in & enjoy views of the harbour while chowing down or catching up. There are spaces & classes specifically aimed at kids, the elderly & people undergoing physical rehab; this is easily the best gym/aquatic centre I've been to in Sydney so far.
Their membership options & fees are fantastic too something for everyone.

The outdoor 50m Olympic pool is heated year-round and ideal for lap swimming. The newly refurbished indoor 25m pool is mainly for kids and hydrotherapy, and is not really suitable for lap swimmers. The diving pool (check opening times) has a 10m tower and 3m springboard, but most often used for swimming school and water polo training. There is also a splash pool for little kids. Extensive gym facilities, which I don't use, and newly refurbished amenities blocks. Has a pleasant outlook at the head of Iron Cove, but can be breezy at times. Plenty of free parking, and also serviced by the free Leichhardt Community Bus.

Excellent facility. I go there 2 to 4 times a
week.
Good workout facilities.
Good staff.
Good, easy car parking.
Good location with views.
Community oriented place run by the local council.
So there isnt that edgy , commercial push underlying the enjoyment of the place.
Gym, outdoor pool, rehab programs, and cafe.
Subsidy for pensioners, however not a cheap place. It doesnt compete on price.

New and Clean, however the gym is quite on the small side and can get busy very quickly. Classes here are great. Awesome for families and always handy to have pool facilities nearby. If you want a gym membership with the lot - Swimming, Yoga, Spin Classes, Gym, Les Mills,
creche, Leichhardt aquatic center is great. But if you are only looking for a gym - there are others in the area you'll get more out of for your money with more equipment that are just as clean and friendly.

Excellent complex with plenty of activities. Swim coaches are great with the kids. Food is delicious and priced well at the shop.

The gym is well set up and never overly busy. The kids swim instruction is good, the teachers do a good job. On the weekends the diving pool is open.

Great community pool proudly council operated in the inner west. Free parking, 6 heated pools to choose from for leisure. Change rooms recently renovated and clean. Swim school is professionally run with well trained, consistent, happy staff, very committed to my children's progress. No additional fees for entry, parent portal to track kids progress and now has online booking facilities!

Added bonus - Great cafe food and coffee with beautiful deck outlook.

LPAC has a great main pool, it is heated and outdoors.
There are also 2 program pools used for learning to swim.
I take the kids to swimming lessons and do a few laps whilst they are in class.
Yes, booking the time you want can be a hassle, but once your established it's good.
Program pool 1 is great and was recently reopened (early 2017) having been refurbished and a permanent roof, kid and family friendly shower / change area / toilets have been added.
All that you want from a pool and a kids swim program and plenty of space to get in with the kids before / after a lesson to reinforce the love of swimming.

Excellent staff-helpful pleasant and competent
Best learn to swim prog and squad training sessions-all pools are heated so all round swimming etc
Caters for all ages and abilities
Good gym with excellent classes for individuals and groups-again all ages and abilities catered for-spin classes, aquarobics(fantastic)
Excellent cafe,great view over the bay---and a creche

The swim school and the instructors here have been wonderful. Our children have been learning to swim since before they could crawl. Great to be able to learn how to swim under cover in a heated pool all year round.
