A wonderful experience and a personal favourite. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food, beverages and facilities are top notch. Can be a bit pricey but worth every penny. I make it a regular when I need a sneaky getaway out of Sydney.

Ate at the rooftop restaurant. Brilliant service, great food. A gem on the south coast. I'd love to stay there as well

Don’t bother bringing kids here given it took over a hour and asking twice where kids meals were up to. Whilst staff were polite, either their staff training or systems letting them down. Pity as great looking venue & food was good when it finally arrived.

We had a splendid 3 night stay at the Pavilion. Rooms are spacious and modern. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Upstairs cafe/restaurant is expensive.

Bannisters was a really nice get away for my husband and i. The rooms were nice and the resturants were amazing. The staff were helpful and very friendly.

Food deserves 5 stars however service was so poor I have given 1 star. Staff were not attentive & their service certainly does not match the price point. Will not return.

Had a fabulous weekend away. Very spacious room with beautiful furnishings and a delicious breakfast. Will certainly return soon. Even left a cable in the room and the lovely girls at reception found it and posted it home for me. Excellent service.

Firstly we were seated in a dark area to eat, this was rectified with no problems.
Secondly the prawn linguine my partner had only had 3 prawns in it-was more like a tomato linguine.
However my dish was delicious , fish of the day(snapper).
Nice atmosphere, if your passing it's a tick off the list but would not go out your way to dine here.response / report this review -

Rooftop indoor/outdoor restaurant & bar has a relaxed, ambient atmosphere. Service is excellent. Meals are a little expensive, however the quality & Rick Stein influenced presentation of food is evident. Great for a meal you want to remember.

Staff work hard to make it a good experience, simple food well done but let down by poor location. Room overlooked a car park. Generously proportioned bathroom and at this price, would have expected a bathtub. Easy to get confused when booking with the other Bannisters down the road.

Bannisters Pavilion is a lovely boutique hotel in a quiet location. Our room was an above average motel room in size with a small balcony. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Dinner at the Rooftop Bar and Grill was great. We shared a number of small plates and that worked well for the 2 of us. Breakfast was included each day and was first class!

Gorgeous decor, lots of trendy people, food delicious. However poor stressed staff under-manned. Starters took 45mins to come out, another hour for mains, dessert order got lost. Eating was a competition to beat the 1000 flies. They took only 2 drink orders within the first 2.5 hours. Don't they know tipsy customers complain less? Complimentary coffees for delays. 3rd star because the gorgeous Desserts rescued this review, phew!
