It's an awesome, exciting place and you get to do activities, watch athletics train and much more! I rate it five stars!
Cannot cook in the flats despite a full kitchen. They have a room where you can carry everything over and back to cook in the middle of the village, but stairs prevented me from doing this. Not everyone there is able to keep with the mess hall hours. No vending machines for snacks. If you can't keep with reception hours you can't buy a snackder der der. Cleaners are sporadic and come in as they feel. I got a bad case of tinea on both my feet. Showers are lousy the water temp changes every few seconds from hot to cold hot cold. The best time to shower is at about 2 am when the rest of the place is in bed, then you can have a decent shower. Rooms smell musty, moths and well worn carpets. Was relieved to finally leave the place. I spent 4 weeks there. I of those weeks was in a single room.
Best place to stay. I'm in year five and it's an amazing experience. The food is amazing. Got to see some athletes there too. My school got to go on a tour around the AIS and it's so cool. We got to go to a play area and it amazing place to have fun. U got to go there amazing.
Very nice soccer courts , we go there all the time and very good prices😀
I went in there in the holidays for the first time, it was amazing. I enjoyed tour around the place, I would like to work there one day when I'm older.
An extremely good experience. I got to experience olympic sports thanks to very cool technology, and have a tour of all the facilities. I highly recommend the AIS to everyone.
A great aquatic centre made second rate by tearing out the Recovery facility which included a Spa, Sauna and Plunge pool.
When I spoke to the management they said they have no plans to rebuild. Canberra now has no recovery facility with a plunge pool open to the public.
Great sports institute, nice facilities and a very clean , professional and fun environment. Perfect training spot for athletes
I went in year 6 and had a brilliant experience
if your lucky enough to go with your school like i did its an even better experience than just going to Canberra. And if your child likes sport like i do take them to the AIS where the Athletes train and play:)
Soooo great to be an athlete and go there every day!!!
I recently got a trial for socceroo's U15 and the instute helped me out. Hopefully I play for the socceroo's U15 in the next 24 months
