This restaurant doesnt belong to melbourne.. the food is not that great and their service/attitude is even worse. Despite that they are crazily expensive. They are just fooling their customers by serving out NON-authentic Sri lankan cuisine.. We ordered Hoppers which is Sri Lankan staple but they turned out to be bitter.. On questioning them they rudely said that we do not add sugar & hence we have been serving bitter hoopers since 32 years.. when questioned again, the rude lady (instead of being unapologetic) told us that they add TODDY to ferment the batter! WHO DOES THAT? & how are they preparing Tody is altogether a different question. There are so many better places in melbourne to have Sri Lankan food.. AVOID THIS PLACE !!!

AVOID THIS PLACE!! Well, first of all, it’s the worst restaurant experience ever. Took some of our friends to have Sri Lankan food to this place and we regret it. We ordered hoppers and we all felt that there is something wrong with the taste.It had a sour taste. After the complain the young waitress reluctantly took them back. NEVER APOLOGETIC. Then a mature dark lady came to us and offered string hoppers instead (again NEVER APOLOGETIC) Further said, this is all you going to get.

She did not admit that there is something wrong with the food. Her explanation was for health reasons we avoid sugar and we add Toddy instead. Tell you it tastes horrible. You are telling a Sri Lankan how hoppers should taste like? PLEASE. Maybe its good for someone who never had hoppers in their life. Then the bill came, knew this cheap dark lady (showing her roots, greedy for money and to get more out of an average night) would do something fishy. She has charged us one hopper out of 8 ordered. The reason given was you have eaten half of a hopper (you have to eat to taste it, 😝😝🤮). Don't ruin Sri Lankan name with such a bad service and food!

Last weekend our family went for a dinner outing at Araliya St Kilda. Even though we pre-booked they lady who was in the incharge of the floor insisted that we haven’t made any booking. Had to call the Busines owner and he confirmed our booking. The first impression and the way they greet us was so ugly. Never expected such indecent behaviour from staff.
To be frank we are experiencing meals from various restaurants in Melbourene and this was the nastiest food ever we had. Though they charge a premium price no value for money at all. It has a display board call “Mrs.Hopper” at the front. But the hoppers and the egg hoppers were owful. Never ever had such bad foods in Australia. I would say this was the basest food we ever had. Never recommend this restaurant to anyone who is after Sri Lankan foods. No value for money at all. 😖😖😖😖😖😖

The wait staff was friendly but very quiet. The food was lovely but super overpriced with small portion sizes. Oh, and by the way, it took an hour for our mains to come out! And there was only one other table in the whole place! No explanation offered.

I took my coworkers from both US and Australia so they can taste some Sri Lankan delicacies. We ordered a bunch of curries, kottu roti and string hoppers. The food was so delicious and everyone enjoyed it. The server was very friendly and we all had a great time. I visited 5 Sri Lankan restaurants in Melbourne during my stay and this was without a doubt the best!

The food was absolutely amazing served by friendly staff. The cocktails are to die for paired with the great atmosphere of the restaurant. The biryani had good flavouring with the perfect amount of spice!

Honestly this place is simply the best!!
Attending a business meeting, we were treated to a superb taste sensation. The cooks are awesome and know their flavour and please the taste buds.
