Nice hotel, was surprised to get a free upgrade when I checked in. Good facilities and friendly staff. Breakfast is extra, which is unusual for the Mercure chain. Parking is easy in the hotel's car park (at €13 per day)

This hotel has a nice balance of proximity to the centre and cost. Although not cheap, the price was reasonable by Salzburg standards. The rooms are modern and clean. The shower was excellent. The TV had a limited range of channels. I found the bed uncomfortable, but this is subjective.

Great location, great room and the staff is perfect. My room was just refurbished, super cozy with a modern bathroom. Totally recommend.

Very clean hotel,with an excellent buffet breakfast. Food very good in the restaurant and staff very good. Barman was superb, only thing it lacked was a cosy place to relax and have a drink ,if you didn't want to sit at the bar. Very close to the main train station and not too far from the hip on hop off bus tour. Not too many choices for restaurants nearby , 20 minutes walk into Salzburg itself

Terrible experience in my life !!!!
If U really want to know soldier service Just book now.
The staff was almost soldier having no will to improve or satisfy client's comments. I complained 3 times about their bad work process but they did not change anything during my 3 days stay. They look like courteous when they could do from their manual but if something happens U might be discouraged not to do anything.

During my long and boring business trip, Mercure Salzburg was a sort of oasis for me. The reception guy kindly helped my business need, the barman had great personality, the room was decent and properly cleaned, and breakfast was well organized and run by great teamwork.

I have spent a week here for a business trip and found this to be a nice, quiet hotel within walking distance of the old center. Rooms were clean, food was good and the staff was very helpful.

Very helpful reception staff. Super clean and comfortable rooms. We stayed in a deluxe room on the second floor and it was lovely and quiet. Bathroom and room small but in Salzburg you'll spend most of your time out exploring anyway. Convenient location for train station in and out of Salzburg. Walk to old town is relatively easy and about 15 minutes walk. Thai restaurant across the road is highly recommended as well as brewery around the corner.

The rooms are good size for European standards. The staff is kind and attentive. It is only a ten minute walk to the old town area.
