The daily events were a great way for solo travelers to meet other people. Rooftop bar is a cool hang out spot, and is well used by guests. The breakfast is not included and isn't really worth the price - better to walk a block or two and get coffee, OJ, and medialunas (croissants) like a local. Good central location, but not many restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Clean and not too loud, not a party hostel.

The tot al is Ok, the beds are a bit instable and there is no lock on the toilet+douche in the female dorm

Great hostel with very chilled atmosphere. Double room was nice and big and cleaned every day. Location was perfect for the city centre. Only downside was the breakfast. It was not great and was not included in the price.

This place is awesome! Super central and the staff are great! So friendly! The rooftop is awesome - great sunset spot. Also the free daily activities are a bonus incl tango lessons 😁I stayed in the female four bed dorm and we had our own bathroom so that's a plus too.

A good hostel overall. The crew was prepared to help on anything i needed. Wi-Fi worked well, altough It was weak in the rooms. The biggest problem is that they cut off free breakfast without previous warning. I left and stayed a couple of days in Uruguay and when I got back to this hostel, they started charging me 60 pesos for the exact same breakfast. Felt like a con. Apart from that, it was a good experience.

Great hostel, the best I'd been in South America. Loved the Rooftop vibe at the end of the day with everybody chilling after a day exploring the city! Awesome place for solo travelers.
Staff was very helpful and many thanks for your tips!

Awesome, spacious and cool hostel. Cool rooftop with free breakfast. We stayed there on the weekend and it was a little loud at night until 8am as there is a club downstairs and the bass vibrated through the room - bear in mind if you're after a good night's sleep.

A really cool hostel, super location. A bit cold in the rooms, but there is a great heater that will heat the room.

Not only were the rooms extremely dirty, but the shared space was dated and grimy. Everything felt filthy and even the comforter and pillows looked unwashed. It was the worst hostel experience I've ever had. Do not waste your time going to this hostel, just go somewhere where your queen sized bed isn't just two twins pushed close together and the shower doesn't leak. Waste of time and money to go there. Portal del Sur? I think it's more accurately Portal del Suck.
