On February 2019, our beloved Labrador, Bear was diagnosed with a life threatening disease and in the matter of a few hours she fainted at home. We rushed her to Umm Suqeim Veterinary Clinic where they examined her and ruled out all the possibilities until they found out what happened to her.
Before we began treatment, they explained the costs involved and it was completely up to us if we wanted to proceed- they are extremely professional, honest and transparent!
We, of course, proceeded and she had a team to look after her day and night for a week with amazing nurses and doctors who nursed her back to recovery even after her slim chances of survival! Our prayers came true because of the outstanding doctors at this Centre. Every day we are so thankful that our bouncy girl is there to greet us good morning.
Even after the traumatizing memories Bear had at the clinic, she still runs back into the veterinary centre as though she’s at home.
Thank you Dr. Charlene and team!
While I believe they do an amazing job in medical emergencies, they are EXTREMELY expensive and double the price of most vets in Dubai. Even there “discounted” rate for stray cats TNR is over double the price of other vets. Also, I have been to their location multiple times just this month alone and there is always a long wait time (even when you have an appointment). All in all, they do an excellent job and while I believe their doctors care about the animals I don’t believe that management does.
PS: Dr. Stephanie is my personal favorite, loves animals and knows her stuff when there in trouble.
Our 10 year old pug suffered heat stroke. We brought her to the vet at 2am in an absolute panic. When we arrived everybody was waiting for us ready to treat Coco. We were explained the treatment process as Coco was in critical condition. The team were very professional and compassionate to Coco but also to us. We were sent video updates of her progress which was extremely comforting together with phone calls and next treatment steps. We can't thank the team enough for saving our Coco. No amount of many can replace a much loved family member.
Thank you very much for taking care of my pet.
Last night I was very scared seeing him in a bad condition after coming back from work. I liked the fact that the diagnosis was done on a step by step process and only the necessary was done rather than shooting my pet with tests and medications which is not uncommon by many clinics as I heard unfortunately. My dog feels good today and I will continue with the medications to finish the course of treatment. As myself being in the medical field I always hate over treatment and I appreciated my last night visit and the care provided.
I brought my pug here and he was diagnosed with giardia. He was put on treatment and after the course of treatment I asked if he had to return for a follow up which they said no need.
6 weeks later and he now had an inflamed pancreas because the virus was still in his system. The treatment had not worked and after me questioning a follow up I was told no. Their lack of due care and attention has caused so many issues and my puppy is still in hospital (another vet) being treated on a drip for now over 5 days.
I’d never ever bring my pets back here.
*Just to respond to your response: I am fully aware of where I brought my dog and he was treated by you. You doubt he account of what happened which is concerning but hardly surprising. I asked the vet does he need a follow up and the vet said NO. I questioned it as there are 2 dogs in the household and the vet said neither needed to be retested.
It is a complete derelict of care from your side.
My dog has only just been released from hospital after being there for 5 days and he has to go through the treatment again. I will learn from my mistakes and never bring him to your care again. *
It’s unfortunate that the staff professionalism varies from night to day. The daytime staff are wonderful but God forbid you have to keep your pet overnight or have to bring them in the evening. First of all the evening times are more expensive which I wouldn’t mind if the staff was just as qualified or compassionate as the daytime. You will notice that the evening staff contradicts what the daytime staff suggests. I doubt they are bothered to read your pets file before making an educated conclusion. They will suggest to do all these unnecessary scans/ultrasounds to hike up the bill. Doctor Scott and Sara are wonderful but beware of Anne in the evenings. Unprofessional, uncompasionate and rude. She told us that our cat might not make it and to expect a call at 3am, which is not what the doctors told us earlier in the afternoon. We stayed up all night worried and Anne nor anyone else bothered to contact us to say he’s doing alright. We left wet food for our cat and came back to find that they were giving him dry food, when they should know that he barely has any teeth and can’t consume it. Yet Anne told us rudely that she has “ten years experience and knows what she’s doing” Just sad really. In the morning luckily he was more stable and we were able to take him home. We have many dogs and cats between the families in Dubai that we used to take to this clinic but after this last evening experience we’ve decided it’s best to try another Vet in Dubai that has much better reviews across the board. Frankly, I’m appalled after reading the reviews and it’s evident that the evening staff vastly vary from the morning.
Took my pet rat here, completely unprofessional, say they are a 24 hour clinic but they charge more than double at night!!! Drugged the poor girl up to make her look sick so I could pay extra. Worst vet in Dubai, if you love your pet you won’t bring it here!
One of the most expensive yet unprofessional clinics in town. They charged me 8,000 aed to make my dog sick.
If you care for your dog I suggest you don’t go here. Even if it is 24/7 they used the late hours to their advantage, by charging you extremely ridiculous rates and also make your dog look sick, so you pay.
The masters of emotional blackmail !
I personally suggest let your dog go to another clinic if it can wait till the morning , “the 24/7” thing definitely isn’t worth it.
After my dog was with them for a couple of days they couldn’t even manage to recognize his gender. Imagine how they know their treatments 😂
What a relief to have a clinic open 24/7. Vets and nurses are super nice and know their job. Has been taking my German Shepard Shaggy for 2-3 years there now and real happy with everything.
They saved my kitten who swallowed a rubber clip from the furniture. Despite the fact that x-Ray did not show the piece, doctors managed to diagnose this condition and conduct the necessary surgery in time. Great specialists, excellent intensive pet care.
If you love and care about your pet it’s the only vet clinic you should go to. Been going to USVC for 6 or 7 years. The best and most caring vets and nurses. The reception staff is also very helpful and friendly. It’s the only place i am very comfortable treating and hospitalizung my cats at. I fully trust that they are cared for medically and emotionally 24/7. Cannot disagree more with the bad reviews and the implication that they are only concerened with the fee. They are the most consciences and caring vets and nurses and it's never about the money. One of my cats has chronic health issues and even if I asked for additional tests scans etc that they don’t deem necessary or crucial I was told so. Clearly that is not what vets clinics usually do when they are only concerned about making money. It is only due to their above and beyond approach and caring efforts that two of my pets are alive and well today.
Team is professional and efficient with lots of kindness and concerns about our animals. They give very good advices how to take care of our little loved one when sick. I highly recommend as they really have a human and respectful way to approach animal.
Its a good clinic BUT dont go during night! I took a injured stray kitten month ago & dr said cat is just fine & next morning kitten died due to bad treatment and check. Kindly improve your eve shift Dr they are not professional
Umm Suqeim Veterinary Centre take excellent care of my fur babies. They are informative about any procedures that might be necessary both over the phone and in person. They have a personal caring touch when looking after both my cats and ensure they provide the best quality to them and myself. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for caring, nurturing and qualified vets to look after their fur babies.
Open 24hrs for peace of mind. Very detailed record keeping. Vets who are interested in each animal and are systematic in their approach whilst keeping me fully informed. Very happy with this vet clinic.
What a wonderful veterinary centre this is! I can't rate it highly enough. We have two dogs and a cat who are now registered here and each member of the clinic couldn't be more caring. Dr's Monique and Malcolm are one in a million vets who practice with patience, loving care and humour. Your pet is in very safe hands here!!
We take all 3 of our cats to Umm Suqeim Vet. The staff are caring and thorough and we trust them to give the best care to our furry family.
Very well informed staff of professionals available 24hrs a day. My pets are treated really well and they do several follow up calls to see how they are progressing since their last visit.
Great clinic! Everything was orderly and timely as per my appointment. I had Dr. Stephanie who was an absolute pro as normally my small dog's aggressive to most who touch/hold him.
Service is amazing but the prices are a bit high, in my opinion. I understand it's due the location of the clinic and the high demand for veterinary care so a note of precaution to look at to your budget and the urgency of your case, the price may or may not be reasonable.
I have and would recommend this vet centre to anyone who will listen. We have known and dealt with vets at Umm Suqeim Veterinary Centre for almost 15 years. Over the years, we have have appreciated their care, knowledge and advice in taking care of our dogs. Even with Hutch being a handful, they really saw that deep down he was just a sacred dog that needed a caring human's touch. They were our first choice in getting our latest dog Snowy registered and checked out. We live across town but we keep coming back to them because we feel treat their clients like family and their service is above all others.
The guy at the reception was very rude and unhelpful.
I've been to this clinic before really good doctor but because of the guy I'm never going back
