Its an average hotel. Stayed at Holiday Inn in Bangkok and had better experience there with staff, service and food. Not too close to metro. Its a 15min walk from the hotel. You can easily grab a taxi which is usually parked outside. Its in a quite location.

A nice clean & small hotel. It is situated in a quiet area & only goes up 5 floors, it has basement car park (did not use).
The staff are friendly & efficient, we got in early after an overnight flight & we had a room by 10am at no extra cost. Bedroom was very nice for a few nights stay. Good free wifi reception. TV in the room has a fair selection of channels, international / English, of news, film, sports but Dubai is not really a place to stay to watch TV.
The restaurant for breakfast has a simple buffet selection of continental / international choices also with some hot options.
Location wise the hotel is well served with passing taxis, it runs a shuttle bus to the beach (did not use), you can walk to the nearest Metro stop (Business Bay) in 5 - 10 minutes & you can walk out to the Dubai canal for a pleasant stroll. Even the Dubai Mall & the Burj are within around 30 minutes walking but there is the heat, the traffic, the road works (Dubai appears to be the world's biggest building site).
I would definitely stay again, it doesn't have the glitz of some of the fancier places but it has a nice feel. Dubai is a city of striking architecture & no matter which building you look at / stay in, to me it seems there is always another breath-taking moment around the next corner. There were no fancy views from our bedroom but that would be the case with so many places there as it is so built up.

Slightly over priced looking at the overall experience -

Its a new facility so in good condition. Maintenance of the rooms was not up to the mark - things that are frequently used were cleaned by house keeping but entire room wasn't. Curtains & places inside closet were dusty. No room service in this hotel. Basic toiletries are missing and they just don't have it.

Didn't find the receptionists to be friendly enough. Nothing bad that I experienced but noticed they were less accommodating with most guests.

Breakfast options are okay. This same breakfast place also serves alcarte food. Pasta that we tried there was great. But the food at Muchachas Mexican restaurant was average.

Decent property, when you are not getting any good place to live, you can stay here, can be your plan B as it is less expensive, service from staff is also good.

For a holiday inn it's not bad. Staff are really friendly. Today I walked in and the people at the desk greeted me by name! That does not happen at HI in the US.

The hotel may have changed hands. Less hot water. Less channels. Elevator needs servicing. Mexican restaurant is great but closes early. Still a good hotel for a place to sleep when on business.

Holiday Inn hotel located in a very good location close to transportation points and city center. The rooms are their standard and it has nice views. I don't like the bathroom. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. It serves the Wi-Fi on rooms and have most of TV channels. It has a business center where you can complete your job in it.

It's a 2 star property One of the well maintained hotel in the centre of Dubai but It's located in a quiet area, not far from the business bay train station. There is a basic gym on the 5th floor. Very close to metro station, centre of Dubai & Emirates mall, staff is very courteous, good variety for a vegetarian items in breakfast, rooms are neat & clean, toiletries biodegradable, bed sheets & pillows are comfortable. Very friendly front desk.

One of the well maintained hotel in the centre of Dubai. Very close to metro station, centre of Dubai & Emirates mall, staff is very courteous, good variety for a vegetarian in breakfast, rooms clean & neat, toiletries biodegradable, bed ,sheets & pillows comfortable, economical,certainly coming back, Ciao.

Stayed here for two days for a business trip. It's located in a quiet area, not far from the business bay train station. There is a basic gym on the 5th floor. Close to the canal, so can easily run up to the beach along the canal in the morning. Not many shops around but there's a mini shop next to the reception. Free breakfast is great with a variety of options. The hot meal also changes every day.

Stayed there so many times for business. My stays have always been pleasant. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and always clean. They serve a hearty breakfast. They have a nice cozy bar which did not disappoint during my stays. The only thing I used to suffer from was catching a cab. The ones which used to be parked in front of the hotel were double and triple the prices of other cabs.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are very small with minimal amenities. There's no room service and I had to request a wash cloth for washing my face. In my opinion, there are better values in Dubai.

Location was just right next door to my work workshop. Warm and helpful staff. I found the (free) breakfast bland so preferred to eat out. There is a Mexican restaurant with yummy food but it opens at 5pm. Internet was patchy but I saw there was the option of buying a high speed upgrade. Room didn't smell and it was clean overall.

It's my favorite short business trip hotel because of its central location for me. Sometimes rooms are smelly and sometimes the AC is bad but overall I'm satisfied to a certain extent. Needs a new interior Decore renovation and to upgrade the 24 hours service. Parking is useless going to the second basement.

Nice big room with a big bed, couch and desk, wardrobe. Bathroom has a shower cabin. It is a bit of a walk to the metro. There is a bus that stops outside, from the hotel it goes to Al Jafiliya from the hotel, and on the way back it departs from the Emirates Tower South exit bus stop (Seaside). It doesn't go very often though. The hotel is close to the new Dubai Canal with the purple waterfall, and boats go 3 times a day. The hotel doesn't have a pool, but it has a gym and the wifi is stable and free. Would recommend this hotel.

Old stinky carpets, refrigerator wasn't actually working (anything was cold at all), shower don't keep the water temperature and the Internet at the rooms really sucks. Only the rooms right beside the routers were able to use, but had to keep the door opened. There's no continental breakfast, only some fruits, bread and Indian cooking - spicy potatoes and chicken for the breakfast isn't cool. To use the phone, you have to go downstairs and make a "recharge" like a prepaid phone - we just needed to make a local call. We requested a taxi to the front desk and they called one with "closed price" and that, when we asked, manipulated the taximeter (run away from the white cabs, they're a mafia). The only good point is the location - close to metro station, helped us a lot, but I wouldn't go back.

My wife and I stayed here overnight while on business trip. I've stayed here twice before and my previous rating was excellent with positive review.
This stay was good until the morning. No hot water. We run the hot water taps in shower and basin for 20 minutes and still had cold water so because of my schedule, I had to have a cold shower, and it was very cold.
I called reception and they sent someone up to check it out. The maintenance man arrived, and did exactly what I had done, ran the hot taps, for at least another 20 - 25 minutes. I ended up telling him to leave so my wife could have a cold shower.
The maintenance man told me that some pipes had been replaced overnight so that was the reason. Not good enough Holiday Inn, if you knew maintenance was going to be done, you should have put us in a room that wasn't going to be effected.
Everything was good before that, room was clean and tidy, staff were very nice, check in fast, and wifi excellent, but the shower was a big let down.
We were pressed for time after that so had to have a fast breakfast, coffee and croissant.
Check out was slow considering I had prepaid and no one else was there. The girl had a printer issue for receipt.
We stayed on night of 28 November 2016.

Extremely bad value for money. Not in an attractive location. Poor facilities, no pool small gym room. Boring bland food. Friendly pleasant staff hence 2 stars not one. It is possible to find far better value for money in Dubai so don't book long term here. My mistake.

Stayed here in 2013 for 4 nights. It's a 3 star hotel with basic facilities. The room was bit small although not tiny. The cleaning was an issue like the carpet was old and hallways bit smelly. Also they gave me a smoking room so it was not good feeling. I did not try it but they provided the breakfast. The WiFi worked and it was near one of the metro station "Business Bay". Once can stay in this place while on budget.

Has everything you need. It is a 5 min walk from the metro and has a shuttle to Dubai mall during the day.

The rooms are what you would expect in the price range. They're clean. I did have a problem with hot water and water pressure on the 4th floor.
