Just the best place to go with your family. Loads of wonderful activities for kids and pools too. The ocean is warm and the staff are extremely friendly. The rooms are spacious and super clean. Loved it?

I visited yesterday afternoon/evening. Was really wonderful. The staff is so warm and friendly.The toilets are so nice and clean. We attended a show like Elvis -was amazing. I look forward to going there again. One can enjoy the lounge facilities over a cup of tea.

Absolute amazing family experience! There is plenty to do for the little ones: an entertainment center with playground and movie zone as well as loads of activities and games for kids by the pool. The staff is energetic and friendly. The food at the restaurants is fantastic! And the rooms are clean, have beautiful views and super spacious. Makes you feel like you and your family will never want to leave. Definitely worth the visit!

One of the best places for a relaxed holiday. The rooms are spacious and the view amazing. The staff are the best. They are so willing and friendly. The location is perfect. Close to everything. The adult pool is a bonus if you need some peace. Really a lovely place. Thank you Umhlanga Sands.

Generally quite a nice resort- probably best suited for families rather than a romantic getaway. A pity that the adult swimming pool closes at 6pm. Room nicely finished but shoddy workmanship unfortunately evident. Good security and service by staff. Close enough to "strip" for access to some very fine dining.

Good for a relaxing holiday. On the beach.
Excellent souvenir shop AWESOME AFRICA close by at the PEARLS MALL and goid variety of restaurants. Safe to walk.

Perfect getaway for the family. Neat, clean and tidy. 6 sleeper guest room is ideal, 4 is a little tight even for 4 guests. Then again you're here to be out at the seaside not in the room. Pool staff are awesome.

Family orientated accommodation. Very professionally managed. Most amenities on site in respect of entertainment. Security very visible. Prices are above average. Direct access to the beach. Well worth a visit.

Having 2 small kids, we can honestly say it's the best resort to stay at!!! They have lots for kids to do at the new Xscape & it's fantastic having the beach & sea so close. Facilities are great & rooms are large & luxurious. Definitely Will be visiting them again!!!

If you have kids and are non-smoking this is probably a fantastic place.

The rules with regards smoking changed without notice from last year to this year which meant that one had the choice of a tiny room that was completely insufficiently catered for in terms of an extractor fan or the benches on the sea walk.

We felt very much as though we were not a part of the resort and our levy was basically being used almost entirely on entertainment for kids.

We are looking around for a more suitable time share.

Perfectly situated on the beach. Very friendly and helpfull staff. The resort caters for the whole family with a great kids corner/club, pool activities, fun slides, restaurants and more.
It's the ideal place for a family to relax and enjoy the scenery.

Great service, friendly staff. Clean and tidy rooms with full service everyday. Entertainment for the kids and adults all day into the night. Right on the beach, with pools that occupy the skeptics. My partner and I are frequent visitors and enjoy the stay everything. Thank you Umhlanga sands!

My family has been going there since it opened in the eighties. I love it there. It has a great atmosphere and I cannot wait to go again. The service is great and the rooms are very nice and clean.

As a young boy I always go to this hotel. I've always loved it, the vibe is amazing. The catering is amazing and it's just a fun experience. I've gone there for 13 years now and there's always something new. I'm busy driving down to Durban right now and I'm so happy to go there. All kids and adults would love and enjoy this wonderful resort.

Beautiful location with direct beach access. Recently re done interior. Good food options available within the hotel. Pool and small indoor soccer facilities on the outside. Friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere.

We went to the sands beginning of January 2017, the NEW entertainment people are amazing, they make you feel so welcome, they have 2 kiddies slides, awesome music by the pool, loads of games for the kiddies and parents and fun activities, the new kiddies area is amazing!!! Kiddies activities and rooms for all ages. We thoroughly loved going to the Sands, they have made a huge improvement with the entertainment. I recommend it as a stunning, awesome, relaxing holiday.
