Great food and friendly staff. Been to south Africa twice and been to the waffle hut as many times. Great place to have breakfast in drakinsburg.

Stopped in for a waffle and I'm actually glad we did. Such a chilled atmosphere with loads of activities for kids to do while they wait for their food. Waffles were tasty as ever. See you guys some time soon👐🙌

The Atkinson family and staff from the Waffle Hut are truly what we should all strive to be more like.
We recently had an accident on rout to The Waffle Hut and the staff and owners of the Waffle Hut went above and beyond to help my family. Going as far as looking after our kids and taking us to the doctors in their private cars wanting nothing in exchange. We where treated like family, into days day and age an absolute rarity.. Many thanks to the Waffle Hut..! We will be BACK..!

Heard a lot of good things about this place but was so disappointed upon visiting it. Arrived here at 4 15pm with family. We were told that it is closed. Signage says the place closes at 4:30pm. Two families were still perusing the menu to order. We decided we would grab something to drink and be on our way. Lo and behold, a couple arrived at 4 30pm and were seated inside. The manager then asked to be seated outside. We wanted to sit inside but they insisted that we sit outside. We proceeded to sit outside.
Waiters did not even want to make eye contact and it was also difficult to get their attention. We requested for two glasses ice water - we received hot water infused with lemon. What an absolute thirst quencher on a hot day. During our meal, we had the company of many flies - requested the waitress if something could be done : she ignored us. I'm sure it is quite lovely to have a fly sharing your meal with you. Well Done to the Waffle Hut Team for your outstanding service. 👏

Nice cosy place. Big play area for kids outside. A bit of waiting for a table on weekends when they are busy. Interesting souvenir shop as well. Big junglegym outside for the children.

Great food. Wonderful family restaurant. Fantastic new renovations. Lots to see at joined shop & nursery. Play some put-put on a challenging 9 hole corse and kids can enjoy the jungle gym

Lovely place. Beautiful setting in Drakensberg. There is a nursery as well and weavers and candle shop. Good waffles and very efficient service. There are also a lot of kiddie activities including a playground and putt putt.
