  Great resort. Great facilities. Ablutions a bit outdated but clean. Stands on the river bank is grassed.

  Positives-good clean grounds,comfortable and clean and spacious chalets with lovely beds and bedding. The river view is spectacular with the boats and jet skis up and down.
  Negatives-flies!a multitude of them which made relaxation and even sleeping a nightmare.believe me when I tell you they even get under your sheets.
  One citronellalamp is provided which is not even a help and it burned out on the first day .
  Water-even when boiled is undrinkable and tastes absolutely vile.not even fit for cooking. Mention should have been made on the website.
  Lastly no inventory is done and we had lots of dishes and glasses short in chalet 17 particularly (we had 4 chalets)for which we had to forfeit our deposit.this is gross unfair practice so be very careful and insist on an inventory count.
  On booking out I did write in guest book that items were missing.
  Very disappointed. Of the R800 dep pd we only got back R400.
  Its obvious someone is taking advantage of this situation,not replacing breakages and still
  Making money off deposits pd.
  
  BE VERY AWARE AND INSIST ON INVENTORY CHECKS

  I don't know how this place got such a high rating. The staff are rude. The amenities are on par with an 80's resort. And to top things off when we arrived we notified the management that there was 1 teaspoon missing (Those R2.00 spoons from Pep Stores). They then took R50 off of our deposit for the very spoon we reported missing. Thieves, rude and outdated.

  We were there on Sunday to find out about picnic spot for the day. Camp their several times but this time we were treated in a very bad way due to animal with us. Very disrespectful.
