  Very friendly, competent and professional staff and doctors. Obviously the government should invest more into it.

  Although hospital is in a bad state, the nurses in the heart section looked well after my father-in-law and the doctors were great. The only issue was that he spent hours waiting to be discarged because the doctor was too busy to see him or in meetings. I implore on the doctors to really get in touch with their patients especially if they are from out of town. It might seem insignificant to them but it is significant to the family.

  Shocking how my mother was treated or sorry wasnot treated, waited there for 5 hours today not one doctor could assist and called the Quality Assurance Manager failed to answer me said they paged the Doctor, I have a reference number at the Western Cape for complaint, we had to leave for another hospital the staff said there was not enough beds to service emergency patients. Shocking Service this Health Service in The Western Cape is not better than the rest of this country

  For a government hospital with limited staff that consists largely of students, Tygerberg hospital is actually a really good hospital. I was treated well and with respect even though there were long waiting periods (which is normal for a government hospital) and not the most comfirtable beds I can't really find anything bad to say.
