Worst treatment at a spa ever! Would give neg stars if possible. The only thing more wilted than the strawberries and mint in the water is the manager literally draging her feet to fetch me glass to drink it out of. The face towels very dirty / stained. The music was too loud, to aroma therapy oil was too hot and don't have any aroma. The nail lacquer was out of stock we were crammed into a couples room, need I say more?
We should have learnt from the terrible experience at the restaurant, but regrettably we gave the View another shot.

The place looks great the moment you set your foot on the property. Cleanliness is unquestionable. The staff is very friendly and attentive, was amazed by Chris nd his calmness, also assisted us greatly.

Stunning venue and views, lovely restaurant (check your bill as we only saw afterwards that they had already added the 10% tip to the bill without advising when we added another 10%, so that left a little bit of a bad taste)

We popped in to Giorgio's at the View for a quick lunch and wow, what a pleasant experience. I had the vegetarian pizza with caramelized onions and gorgonzola cheese, its the best pizza I've ever eaten. Thin based and toppings bursting with flavour. You can expect us when we're in Durban again. Stunning venue as well.

The staff are friendly and helpful, and the rooms are comfortable. However, one gets the impression that they scrape the five star rating on technicalities. For instance, there's Internet access - but it's paid for, and the wi-fi signal in rooms is terrible. Coupled with poor cellular signal makes this a difficult location for the business traveler.

Beautiful hotel but for a 5 star they need to change their beds and clean their public areas especially reception area

A wonderful place with days memorably spent. The staff, the beddings, food and the general ambiance were all fantastic. Price was value for money.

Booked a table for 6 for a birthday party for 7pm on a Sunday night. The unfriendly nature in which we were received felt cold and unwanted. We still forged ahead not to spoil the evening. The wine list was atrocious. Luckily we had brought our own wine. Starters seemed OK, but nothing to write home about. The worst was the mains. I ordered the steak medium. When it came through the steak was nothing bit medium. It was very rare. When asked to please fix it. It was sent back to us saying that it was the way they made medium steaks. Not to mention that the steak was completely cold. All the other guests complained about food being cold and poor preparations for some sort of the other. The reponses we got back from the owner/manager/staff made us all well aware just to shut up and eat. The cherry on the top was the cleaning up. Mopping of floors and setting the chairs upon the tables whilst we was having desert. We all quietly hurried up our deserts paid the bill, which included a compulsory tip for poor service and left.

Has the elements of a 5 star, but it lacks the finishes. No wifi for all guests, just missing the basic things.

Quite an amazing place. The staff are excellent, the food at the restaurant is amazing, and some of the best coffee I've had. The room has everything one could want.

We booked the hotel online. We felt that the website did not do the hotel justice.
We were surprised to find on arrival that we had complimentary champagne and fruit. Also worth noting is the free shuttle service to the beach/mall which we did not know about until we were at the hotel.
The room looked far more impressive in real life then on its website. We loved the spa bath.
We used the Spa facilities booking a couples treatment. Although not all the elements were available on the day they offered us suitable alternatives. I often have massage and have never been tempted by hot stones but this was excellent and I highly recommend it.
We also used the gym but I think they could do with some new equipment and lacked simple things like matts to stretch on.
We ate in the restaurant each night and enjoyed the food immensely. Prices compared to the UK are unbelievable.
The real highlight was the service. The staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for us. We went diving on two days and they were happy to provide a takeaway breakfast for collection at 6.30 am but any request we had they were happy to oblige.
