It was very disappointing that they did not have the dish or dessert we wanted. I had to choose the tempura calamari instead of the prawn planko which was ok but not fantastic..the calamari was a little chewy. The ingredients were nice and fresh but as I said it was not my first choice. They explained about a shortage of stock but that did not really compensate for the fact that the dishes on the menu were not available. Also the strawberry cheesecake by Roxi was not available and we were not offered an alternative either. Rather disappointing for a restaurant of this calibre.

An excellent venue to consider south of Durban. Rooms are clean, staff friendly and food of a high standard. The menu caters for vegetarians! The wooden walkways creates a relaxing atmosphere.

Views were okay. However not impressed with the hospitality and being turned away from the restaurant after a long day, even though I am a guest here at the bed and breakfast. They told me I must eat in my room as they catered for outside guests. They lack in hospitality and basic restaurant curtesy to regulars that have been there for days.

Amazing place!! Big rooms, great view, there are monkeys around the place, you can also spot some dolphins 😊 definitely you can rest there.

Fantastic place on beautiful location with amazing staff.
I loved my stay in African peninsula. The staff is courteous and very friendly. Food is awesome.

I stayed there for more than a month. Amazing view of Indian Ocean and nice staff made every day stay beautiful.

I stayed in 3 different rooms and all were awesome. Faced slight issues with showers which was attended by staff promptly.

I highly recommend this place for long and short term stay.

I have been for breakfast twice here, never stayed just eaten there. Breakfast was good and price was ok, not the best I have had on the bluff but still good. Lovely view while you eat.

Had my mum's surprise 50th. From the beginning of planning to the end of the evening, the staff at African Peninsula was so helpful. The food was divine. the staff went out of their way, going the extra mile to make the evening a success. its such a beautiful venue, whether having a function in the day or evening, the view is exquisite. really admire the staff for their hard work and warm smiles. Thank you
