Staff was amazingly helpful and exceedingly polite and accommodating. Rooms were very well gorgeous and the breakfast buffet and optional menu were among the best in my three week your of South Africa.

stayed here lastnight. carpets in the room are dirty.rooms are stuffy and dusty. nonoking room bed sheet stink of cigarettes.Never again will i stay in this hotel. its 02h20 and i cant sleep cos of the this and also the bed is hard as a rock👎👎👎

It's a five star place so expectations were high. Everything was great with two minor exceptions; the two single beds were in a room where the queen sized headboard and the night stands are mounted to the wall, so one of the beds had to stick out into the room in front of the night stand, and our order at Sunday brunch took an excessive amount of time.

Always stayed at luxury hotels near this place but today my Collague booked here. Very luxury and right on the square.

Mandela square has JNBs top restaurants around

Neat rooms and comfortable bed, must for me. Spacious rooms and complimentary wine.

Friendly staff but standard of service needs improvement and definitely breakfast needs to change, seems they have not visited top 10 hotels around that spoil you with choice and service. Quite slow on service.

This is the jewel of Africa. Maybe the best hotel in Africa. Next to Mandela square and directly linked to the largest mall in Africa (Sandton City Mall), it's perfect for high level business trips.

They have a very nice restaurant, and their breakfast is exceptionally nice and clean, with many choices for everyone.

The rooms are really unique and feel a bit romantic. The hotel has a historic theme, and you'll feel like you're in old Rome.

I'd suggest that you try it. I'm sure you'll enjoy the unique experience.

Excellent location in Johannesburg. Class service and the suites are well spaced as well as well appointed. the ones overlooking the Mandela Sqaure add a wonderful atmospher as you absorb the vibe of the Square from your room. Facilities and food and on a class level. Convenience of being Mall adjoined is a practical factor as well.
