  As PMBURG not on the map for well known hotels we used The Knoll for 3 days at a rate that suited us. Would have loved some salt with our tea and coffee they supplied .

  I am the type of traveller who would rather feed himself than rely on times to be in order to eat so, The Knoll Historical Guest Farm suits me. Get up when I want, enjoy my breakfast when I want. Stay out all day site seeing and visiting friends. Get back late. Gates lock at 22h00 daily, but the onsite security will open for you when you arrange with them. Most definitely recommended if you enjoy self catering. But if you want 5 star hotel service, go elsewhere. I give my stay at The Knoll 10/10.

  Very clean and spacious rooms with comfortable beds, the beds also had heating blankets for the winter. The farm is also a 10 min drive from Cascades mountain bike park, perfect accommodation for cyclists.

  Slept in a 4 bed room. Beds were all extremely uncomfortable and none of us had a good nights rest. Sharing the bathroom and kitchen with another room who were not keeping it clean. Nice view outside, but the room we slept in wasn't decorated at all and walls cracked in some places.
  Found it dirty with rubbish behind the night stand.
  Cheap accomodation at R200 pp, therefore understanding that it is not that pretty. But the basics of a comfortable bed could not be forgiven. Spent our second night elsewhere.

  I've never stayed at the Knoll but I often go to the Wednesday night open mic sessions, hosted in their barn. It's a great vibe, with an eclectic line up of musos and a laid back crowd of all ages. They sell bunnies, wors rolls and other light meals and a jolly good gluwein for chilly Hilton evenings.

  We have experienced a quiet, well priced, midweek on The Knoll Guest Farm. Will definitely do that again. Highly recommended.
